So my newspost on Friday caused a little bit of turmoil, you might say. I want to thank everyone who emailed me. It was interesting to read all the different points of view on the topic. It’s kind of funny, because originally I had only planned to use the controversy over the ad to set up the mock DS ad I had done for fun. But once I started typing up the newspost, I realized I had something to say about the situation, and just sort of ran with it. The DS ad sort of took a backseat to the larger issue.
Prey is shipping this week, and I’m really looking forward to getting about two or three hours into it, at which point the monsters and atmosphere will probably be at their scariest and I’ll lose the willpower to subject myself to that particular brand of torture. Fun stuff.
Chromehounds for the 360 also hits this week. I imagine that my love of mechs, and my desire for anything new on the 360 will be enough reason for me to pick up this game. However something about it seems a little… average. Bland, I guess you could say. Like it’s got the foundation, but not the flair. I’ll play it and let you know if my assumption holds true or not.
I did pick up Titan Quest, despite mixed feelings about the game. I
just haven’t been able to get into it. After playing for about a half
an hour, I do see a game there that I could probably enjoy, but it’s a
game that will require an investment of time that I can’t offer right
now (or any time soon). It’s probably one of those games that I’ll pick
up a few months down the line and get into.
