Preparations for Digital Overload 2011 are in full swing, and as such we’re making new announcements regularly, so make sure you visit the website and/or follow @digitaloverload on Twitter to keep up on all the latest news.
We’ve announced the first of our hotels, a room block at the Radisson which you can now reserve rooms under. We should also have a room block at the Hilton finalized shortly.
Additionaly, we’ve unveiled the first of our tournaments, with many more to come. On top of a number of PC and console tournaments and events, you can of course expect all of the Tabletop tournaments Digital Overload is known for, such as Magic drafts and miniature wargaming. We’ll have official word on those shortly.
I’m also pleased to announce that once again, SUMO will be upping the comfort and lounge level of Digital Overload for the fifth year in a row with their incredible bean bag chairs. SUMO chairs are just about as much a part of Digital Overload as the video games are, and we expect to see “SUMO sliding” return again in kind.
We’re also excited to have Nation Voice back with us this year, providing the event with Ventrilo for all our communications needs!
Remember, we’re currently offering tickets at the low price of $45 for the whole weekend, an early adopter price that won’t last much longer. Registering early both saves you money, and helps up plan the event, so don’t hesitate!
We’ve also fixed the issue with our forum that was preventing registrations from being completed, so if you signed up to access the Digital Overload forums for room/ride share questions or general event questions, please log into your account and have your confirmation email resent.
We’re really excited about some of the stuff we have in store for Digital Overload this year, and we hope we’ll be seeing you there!
