I am not an enormous fan of JRPGs. I’ve stated this at length in the past.

But I was really intrigued by Ni no kuni, both from a visual aspect and then from all of the praise it’s been getting.

So I picked it up for me and my wife to play through together. It starts a little slow, but then that’s usually par for the course as far as JRPGs are concerned. It looks like there’s quite a bit of depth here though, so I’m really interested to start getting into the meat of things this weekend.

I’ll keep you posted on how the game is through the perspective of a guy who doesn’t usually go for JRPGs.
