Well, I’m going to be in Texas on December 22nd.
Yeah, you heard me correctly. I’ve been invited to a big LAN down in Houston, Texas. Now, I’ve never been to Texas before, and I have no clue when I’ll have occasion to return, so if you were looking for a chance to meet me, this is it.
The LAN takes place on December 22nd, and is sponsored by HardDrive.com. They’re expecting about 150-200 people, plus whatever CAD fans we can round up. Looks like it’s going to be a fairly cool event.
Here are all of the details that I have so far: The LAN will start around Noon and will close up at 10pm at the EARLIEST. The door charge is $25, and that includes use of the space, and all-you-can-eat food and drink. And of course, bring your rig.
People will be playing Counterstrike, Warcraft 3, Savage, StarCraft, Battlefield 1942 and more. Basically if you can LAN it, it will probably be played. There will also be hourly raffles for computer cases, motherboards, CPU’s and the like.
I’m going to be there playing games, hanging out, and probably doing sketches for people. I’ll try to bring some shirts and stuff to give away as prizes. This is a great opportunity to come hang out with some fellow CAD fans and play some games. I hope to see some of you there.
