No, no, I’m not dead. I know I didn’t make a Monday newspost. I got bogged down with some work, and I figured the Digital Overload announcement could be left up for another couple of days.
Speaking of, I’ve updated the Digital Overload site with some official hotel information, and the beginnings of the FAQ for this year.
We’re also exploring options for letting people rent monitors, and guaging interest in this thread.
I’ll be updating the site again later this week with some more game and tournament information. Preregistration for the entire weekend is only $45 until January 16th, and you get a free t-shirt if you sign up now.
I’ve finally finished up everything I wanted to accomplish in Gears of War (Insane Mode). Thanksgiving sort of forced a little break in routine, and we found time to get back to it this week. So now Rainbow Six is slowly taking over my evenings. I enjoy it, surprisingly much, considering my first impressions of the game.
December, fingers crossed, will be my month for catching up on these games. There’s nothing particularly interesting coming out until Q1 2007.
Movies are a different story though. I can’t wait to see Rocky VI. And what’s more, I had no idea that Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli from Heroes) was playing Rocky’s son. Even one more reason to see the movie. Rocky V would have been a better movie if Rocky had died at the end, as was originally scripted, but hell, I’ll take as much Rocky as they want to give me.
