I was thinking that (he is approaching a gap in the railings after all), but he is running away from the vat i think. Although it would be funny if a second dose reversed it and he became a normal guy again.
I find it funny that Alex announced his Supervillain Name, and everyone starts using it even when he’s not in the room. We know your name. You are are a selfish supervillain and we don’t have to respect your villainous identity.
That’s been said, Ethan is the one insisting on Villian Names for everyone on the first place, so it hardly surprising
The Thunderess doesn’t have a past history with Alex/Black Hat, so all other things set aside, it makes sense in that context to stick to easily identifiable nickname rather than the actual name that the Thunderess might have time to forget.

I bet Ethan couldn’t help but enjoy that, at least a little.
I wonder if the Troll’s about to nearly fall into the tank, only for Ethan himself to fall in while saving the Troll, and finally find out his respawn still works? Nah, probably not; Now that I’ve predicted it, it likely won’t come true…
Also, maybe it’s just me, but I think the superhero lady looks ridiculous.
That onomatopoeia, plus the location of the hit gives me expectations of a “The Dark Knight” situation, when the Joker was left paralized, then proceeded to kill himself to incriminate the bat.
I thought his controller-whatevers were like standard controllers… Made of plastic. Still a hard through, but those should ‘KRAK!’ before a skull does, I’d hope.
He’s a troll and he’s smiling about it as he goes down. Probably planning to pretend he’s paralyzed then toss Analog towards the goo with a well placed kick.
I feel this is mostly a trope in media to manufacture tension, or to show who’s boss. Sure there’s people who will stand on rank or similar, but common sense is something pretty important in crisis situations.
Thundress immediately recognises that Ethan is right. If he can handle the Troll, she’s better off tackling the Black Hat. It is also an indirect compliment, as the Troll hasn’t shown any powers yet, while the Black Hat has some powerful abilities.

We haven’t seen any powers yet from the Troll, which he might’ve been hiding all this time.it is bold to assume he only got the “ugly” superpower.
It could also be a Joker situation – he has no powers, asside from extremely violent psychological issues, yet still manages to cause incredible damage and destruction anyway.
Simply because he has the resources to, and a complete disregard to human life / suffering his “jokes” cause.
Analog’s original caped look and utility belt practically screamed Batman, so Troll is effectively his Joker analogue.
It’s a fairly small rogues galley though. Master/ZK (basically gone, except I’m sure a new Embla will be ZK’s misguided effort to “procreate”), Black Hat, Troll, and Elijah/Wiggler (hey, Ethan named him, not me). And Demolition Duke, but he was probably a one-off, like Big Wheel in Spider-Man.
Even if it was the exact same chemical (we don’t know), it shouldn’t work like that.
Analog getting powers wasn’t just from touching the chemical, it also involved a freak lightning bolt channeled through an arcade machine. And D-pad had the exact same exposure, but entirely different powers.

That is an original XBOX controller. Those things were HEAVY AS FUCK.
The troll might be looking at a severe concussion, or even worse.
I was thinking ‘Great, now he paralyzes the ass-hat and has to deal with the ramifications of vigilante justice and whether he turns himself in to the authorities he tries to help, or becomes one of those that is now hunted.’
So… yeah. There is that in my brain now early on Monday. Thanks Tim!
Unregistered supers aren’t illegal (or they wouldn’t be allowed to step in here in the first place), so even if that happens to the Troll, I think Ethan is probably in the clear. Legally, anyway, can’t tell how he takes it himself.

Well the Troll will probably have a concussion at least, Ethan must have held back or he’d have thrown a Nokia phone at him instead.

That CRACK is a bit ominous… Did Nathan break Troll’s neck?

I don’t know what Thunderess’ powers are, but she probably could have tazed the troll before she left. I’m a little surprised the Troll didn’t try to force Ethan into the vat himself.
I hope Ethan’s stance on one leg, leaned over like that, doesn’t make him too off-balance, if someone fast were to bump him.
Oh joy. Troll is embodying Therapy Speak Joker…but in the realistic way that Joker would use this language: to torment Batman.

Oof! The Duke controller. That may as well be a barbell weight.

Prediction #1: Ethan falls into vat, is melted. Troll gloats momentarily before he respawns and proceeds to beat the Troll up, leaving the Troll dangling above the vat. We see Ethan consider dropping him in, before hauling him up and tying him up, telling him “you’re not worth it.” Troll sulks.
#2: Ethan falls in, and Thunderess tries to save him, accidentally discharging electricity in the process. The chemicals and shock either restore his power or give him an upgrade. Troll realizes he just played himself.
imagine he falls into the vat of acid again lmao
Oooooh. Oh yeah.
We can only hope.
I was thinking that (he is approaching a gap in the railings after all), but he is running away from the vat i think. Although it would be funny if a second dose reversed it and he became a normal guy again.
And then he comes out looking like Absolute Joker’s true form.
I believe it’s pronounced lolololol though, right?
Yikes though, a thick ‘ol duke controller to the skull.
The Troll must talk really fast for saying so much in the middle of a scuffle
Maybe he talks like an auctioneer
Or for a more dated reference many of us were kids for…
Mr. Micro Machine.
Talking is a free action.
That must have felt immensely satisfying.
Whoa… Ethan’s not messing around, bringing out the Duke!
Duke should still be in jail though?

Tell us you would deadname transgender people if they did something you don’t like without saying it.
Equating Trans people to Villains was not the W you thought that would be…
My sole regret is that I can only update your response once
Holy false equivalency, Batman!
Go virtue signal somewhere else.

Ridiculous in a good way? Because I do <3
Why don’t I like the sound of that ‘KRAK!’?
My thoughts exactly…
That onomatopoeia, plus the location of the hit gives me expectations of a “The Dark Knight” situation, when the Joker was left paralized, then proceeded to kill himself to incriminate the bat.
I thought his controller-whatevers were like standard controllers… Made of plastic. Still a hard through, but those should ‘KRAK!’ before a skull does, I’d hope.
He’s a troll and he’s smiling about it as he goes down. Probably planning to pretend he’s paralyzed then toss Analog towards the goo with a well placed kick.
But is that a ‘just as planned’ smile or an ‘ow that hurt’ grimace? Looks like his eyes are closed so it may be involuntary.
Or how about a Joker smile? As in the nerves/muscles are borked and it’s his default facial expression.
Don’t give me hope.
Tbh. Unless it’s a final Krak any kind of krak would only make things worse somehow
Got a feeling that’s a robot, set to go BOOM when struck. After all, he basically GOADED that attack..
Ethan went really fast from “can I have your autograph” to giving orders to the Thunderess
Ethan seems to be a little like Darkwing Duck in that regard – goofy and immature, but when its time to ‘get dangerous’ he’s surprisingly competent.
I feel this is mostly a trope in media to manufacture tension, or to show who’s boss. Sure there’s people who will stand on rank or similar, but common sense is something pretty important in crisis situations.

I had a theory that he might have the respawning power too, as he was probably exposed to the same chemical, but now I don’t know if it fits

We don’t know how precise her control is. The difference between jolting shock and total frying of nerves can be smaller than we like it to be.
If that useless super hero had just punched him out cold at the beginning, it’d all be over already.
What if…. What if Ethan falls into the vat… And dies! And respawn. There you go. We finally know!
How original
