I was going to say Cyberpunk 2077, but that’s Night City… I guess Neon City is Starfield. Not sure about Hatsuei. So, maybe some kind of combined crossover universe.
This fall I joined a group playing Cyberpunk 2020 , a system I played back in college and very little since, I never found a group to play any of the updated (revised since we are past 2020 now) versions & for CP2077, I didn’t have a system that could support it when it came out and just forgot about it. I forgot how nice the math works out and how much easier and open world CP2020 is compared to a lot of other systems. For CP2020 it is more if you can dream it up & roll high enough,… Read more »
“Fantasy-Science Cyberpunk” says “Shadowrun” to me, which I love. Shadowrun was the first TTRPG I really played (briefly Star Wars RPG, but that only lasted two sessions).
While I prefer the genre of Sword & Sorcery RPGs like DnD and Pathfinder, my heart still yearns for more skill-based, classless systems like what Shadowrun uses.
I get the feeling she also keeps…souvenirs. She’s definitely above the line on the hot/crazy matrix.

Switching up the genres can really help a long time group. We also paused our sword-and-sorcery campaign twice, once for a Sci-Fi space age campaign, and once for a cyberpunk campaign. And although we always return to the sword-and-sorcery, sometimes changing it up for a year or so is a good thing.

Fantasy Cyberpunk? Sounds like Shadowrun. Just how many d6s is 2 going to get up to with his crazy min-max build?

Didn’t he just describe Shadowrun? Then again Netrunners are called Deckers in Shadowrun.
Getting Paranoia RPG vibes from the description. Wild game back in the 80’s. Very dystopian.

Shadowrun, shadowrun, shadowrun!
I remember a time it would have been intriguing. Now, if I wanted dystopian, I’d just walk outside…
“Aw, man. My stuff.” lol 🤣
Huh, my first thought was Shadowrun.
But apparently, Neon City Overdrive is an own game in itself.
And then is when the characters look curious closely to their fantasy versions…
Huh, cool. This should be a fun arc.
Shadowrun. Oh man, are these players in for a ride.
It took me a few seconds to comprehend what I was seeing- it’s been about 1.5 years. New campaign!
I had to go back and see how it ended, I swore they didn’t complete the previous campaign…
Woot!!!
Green focues on the fun and important details of life. She’s a keeper 🙂

Man wish it was Shadowrun.
