Good point, but my thinking is that Lucas asked that in a panic before realizing he was speaking to, for example, the doctor. But it’s good to know I’m probably wrong.
We also see Lucas never stop, change how he’s talking, switch to saying things like “is he okay” and “where is he.” Lucas also tells Ethan and Scott that he (Ben) didn’t say after hanging up, rather than saying something like “the doctor didn’t say”
The simplest explanation is that this is because it is indeed Ben on the other end of the call.

You can actually go back 1 comic and see another example of it being mentioned by a “pepe”. I’m fairly certain it wasn’t the first time it was mentioned in regards to an issue with Feedly. Even Argl mentions “Hunting” due to feedly quirk if you read further.
I scroll through the comments on a regular basis, and I’ve only seen it be mentioned the one time, in the comment thread below this one. Not saying you’re wrong, just saying, not everyone reads every comment. And yes, it is still a spoiler. A very, very minor one, yes, but it gives you a vague idea of what the next arc is about. Many people like to go into a story knowing as little as possible about what’s coming up next. I prefer to myself, though I don’t particularly mind. Hop back one comic(#20), and it’s still in comments. You actually had me wondering if the guy deleted it. I’m not rolling back through this arc to scan all comments for mentions of “Hunting”. I fully understand not wanting spoilers, it was a big concern for me with the release system. It seems everything has worked out well enough on that front.
Hunting was never specified, and nice, vote down someone who ISN’T on the patreon and as far as you lot. That’s a really elite thing to do.

@Tim The RSS feed didn’t update on Feedly since p18.
I checked the raw XML, it contains newer updates than what Feedly shows, so there’s maybe something in the XML that Feedly couldn’t parse.
(I’m on my phone right now, so I don’t have access to proper XML tools to check further)
Update now that I’m on PC : I don’t see anything wrong with the XML content, it passes validation in multiple tools, and it seems to work just fine in other online RSS readers that don’t require registration, so I’m not sure why Feedly is stuck 10 days ago. The only odd detail is that Feedly got the “Hunting, p24” that was mistakenly posted in the free feed, and that article is now removed in the current feed. But I think that Feedly shouldn’t have issue with handling that case where an article is posted then removed. So I have… Read more »

Hmmm… Alex never killed before and Joshua and the Troll should be detained by now, so it’s probably not personal. I’d guess a new supervillain rather than random shooter (the next arc is probably a long hunt by minimum two superheroes), but Ben was never supposed to deal with supersituations

He said he was in the hospital. Never said he was actually injured. Could be where the cop died, with the hospital staff trying to save him at the time. Or paying respects to their family because he knew them.
Point is there’s a myriad of reasons. Bigger point is Ben is ok and is not being written off. Good, because he’s a good guy and Lucas deserves him. Pretty sure the fandom would be start an IRL memorial service for him if anything happened too.
