So here I was, all set to give you some news as I saw fit, maybe entertain you a tad, or at the very least point you in the direction of entertainment… and what do I find as I’m cruising around the internet?

Barry White, vocal representation of love how it should be, and one of my all-time personal favorite performers, passed away yesterday morning due to kidney failure. He was only 58 years old.

I will admit to you, that I am still in a bit of shock. I just don’t know what to say because I know the world just became that much a darker place. It’s hard to describe because though I never knew him, I feel that I owe all of my notions of love and caring to songs he wrote. If you were to ask me what I think love is, I would point you to songs by Barry White, Al Green, and Marvin Gaye. They said it best, in my opinion, they had the right idea.

And so it just makes me sad to hear that someone such as Barry White, someone who contributed so very much to this world, has passed away at such a young age. I can garauntee you that he will be missed by millions of people, and I count myself among them.

In the shadow of this news, everything else seems unimportant enough to wait until Monday. I, for one, will be driving with Barry’s bass-tastic voice cranking from my system for the entire weekend, in tribute.

I hope you all had a fun and safe 4th of July, and I’ll catch up with all of you on Monday.
