The XBot motif is still there. But it doesn’t appear that this Zeke is a Microsoft product. Though appearances can be deceiving… Maybe he just jumped out of Console Wars.
I think what occurred might have been something like this: Imagine there are superheroes/villains. As such, Rory was born a girl and named Carlie due to small levels of butterfly effect. Also, presuming Lilah would have met Lucas on the day Carlie/Rory died, and Lucas simply went home as opposed to anything else and wasn’t interviewed (Lilah’s job isn’t ever actually mentioned), Lilah never meets Ethan. Zeke was constructed regardless, as to whether Embla was is unknown, but on the day Zeke ran away to find his humanity he was effectively kidnapped by the antagonists/put on black market, or that… Read more »
Are those recent, new, non-Analog and D-pad comics with Ethan and Lucas a continuation of the universe that Analog and D-pad exist in? I just got a chance to read through these and they feel like an acceptable alternative to continuing where things left off after the time machine incident. With your above explanation, I am willing to forgive you killing off Ethan if you continue things differently here, as if it were a different timeline or something. Either way, this plot line is riveting and I will admit it captured my attention again.
Wait, if this is the same timeline as the original Ethan & Lucas comics, then there are a few spots I have questions on. Keep in mind, I may not fully understand what you’re saying. First, why wouldn’t Lilah know Ethan was alive? Sure, her and Lucas may have fallen out of touch, but this is pretty big news to keep from Ethan’s wife. How do they trust Scott? How did he get handicapped? Where is the evil penguin now? Did Scott forget about him? When did Zeke decide to take over Earth? Why would he when he is accepted… Read more »
Wait. What do you mean it’s the same universe? There is no mention that the time machine event happened, Lilah doesn’t KNOW Ethan exists, and Scott isn’t incarcerated somewhere. Therefore this is a alternate universe where the main characters are still there, but stuff happened WAY differently. I rest my case.
Still awaiting the continuation.

It’s all the same universe. GameHaven is how they make their living.

I also just realized you meant the newer Ethan & Lucas comics. Sorry. But you have to admit, it WOULD be fun connecting the two universes.
And it would make the whole killing-my-favourite-character thing totally fine!

Wait, who’s Rory from 1.0? Is that a character in 1.0?
Rory is Ethan’s (Analog’s) brother from CAD v1.0.
Wow I’m an idiot
And canonically near impossible!
Though the 1.0 Zekepocalypse and the 2.0 could work far more easily.
A Challenger approaches
That’s a really big moon
