Is there YET ANOTHER videogame themed superhero in this city???
NGL, I kind of want to see the Troll come back. Though his laugh came across as incredibly forced, I think with the right direction, he could make a good recurring villain.

I just noticed. Sam is based off one of Tim’s kids. isnt he?

Good. Ethan needs an unaffected third party to speak to on this and ground himself. Someone who can see the superhero perspective, see Scott’s perspective, and not have any immediate fallout from that conversation.
And who else does he have, really? Other than his immediate friend circle, and their list of enemies, there’s who? Lilah? Prime? Emily? His parents?
From those people maybe “Prime”, but I don’t know how she would react knowing that they had Zeke for such a long time in the backroom. he isn’t that close to Lilah in that universe + talking to a Reporter about this is most likely not the best idea. Emily doesn’t want to talk to him anymore, don’t know if she would open up to him again if he would unmask himself in front of her (or has to kill himself so she believes that he has superpowers and not only pretending to be a superhero). More Analog and D-Pad already? Sigh. Honestly this is the LEAST favorite of the segments on this site. I much prefer Console Wars, The Campaign, or the Singles. Heck I’ll even take Star Caster as its been over 7 months since we last saw it. But man we have had a lot of the Superheroes this year. All of January and March. Most of June and February. The only month we have not had it was April which had an aborted Campaign segment. (Seriously where did that go plot wise. Seems very disjointed) We have had just 1 page of… Read more »
Starcaster is Patreon-only, which Tim brings here when he needs a break. Console wars is entirely dependent on there being interesting and relevant gaming news related to how each major console interacts, happening during breaks between series. Singles happen between series.
Look, I know everyone has their most-favorite and least-favorite plotlines, but if you haven’t yet figured out that all the other series are the “And Friends” to the “Garfield and Friends” that is CAD, I guess I have to break it to you.
Well, the story about Ethan and Lucas was basicly the main thing since the beginning (with Analog & D-Pad as a Reboot). The only other Series that lives as long are the players 1-4 who thankfully had a real plot since “The Campaign” instead of just wanting to kill each other. But I have no idea if this story has some preconditions (maybe Tim playing D&D with a group?)
You are welcome to like all, some, or none of the aspects of this comic I make. But please do understand that what storylines I follow and when is an organic process driven in large part by my inspiration. The reason I’ve been able to do this consistently for twenty years is that I have a variety of threads I can work on, and I can switch gears when necessary to avoid burnout. And if I’m struggling to find inspiration in one direction, I can look in another direction until I’ve found it in the original direction.
And thanks for almost 20 years of entertainment for me, Tim. Haters gonna hate. Personally, I’m glad to be seeing A&D because after the end of last issue, I did NOT want to wait ages to find what happens next.
