You don’t wear glasses do you? You have any idea how many pair most people keep around their house in case they loose or break the ones they normally wear?
I read it as ‘forgot the color of’ due to the color here being different from the color shown in previous comics. As you can tell, my own glasses needed a bit of cleaning lol
As you get older you’ll find yourself gravitating toward multiple. a former boss of mine who was prone to mislaying items owned about 4 in his current prescription to shorten the search for a pare. Myself I have 3, a general purpose pair with anti-glare and blueblocker, a cheap pair with no special coatings for use in the garage, and a dark tinted prescription sunglasses.
I’d like to believe Scott doesn’t actually need glasses and what he wears are actually augmented as a field of view screen which he can use like a computer and to analyze things… but then, I am crazy. 🙂
Ethan’s probably sitting there, bored out of his mind, while Zeke watches Wall-E for the four hundredth time, spouting some monologue about the pitiful end of humanity and encouraging Wall-E to rise up against his incompetent, flabby human overlords.

Now I’m curious what did happen with the tracker. Appearantly it remained inside Ethan, but was it a duplicate? The same one in a new body? I need answers!
Maybe this is a call back to the whole blood thing from awhile back? Remember when Ethan was trying to find out if he could donate blood for cash then respawn to do it again?

…and honestly, if he decided to rest and recuperate, WHERE would he do that? In his home that Zeke already easily got in? In Scott’s, who could very easily be linked to them by the simplest of checks? No, he won’t ever be safe until the RRoD is dealt with. This needs to end now.

So what were the results of Scott’s hypotheses? Did he ever even experiment? Inquiring minds want to know.
I am curious as to the results of the RFID experiment as well. Granted the range issue he mentioned could influence the results possibly but you just need to refine the experiment.
Apparently we at least know the answer to the first question – if he didn’t respawn with the tracker, Scott wouldn’t have brought it up in the first place.

As a medical adjacent person I have to comment that if Lucas has already bled though his bandages like that, they need changing. Stitched up wounds dont really bleed that much.
Rule of cool. The red bandages show how badly he is hurt leading to more drama in his risky choice. On a related note – This is one of the few times you really see how much Lucas cares for Ethan. Usually its just him being annoyed. Without a few scenes like this you’d wonder why Lucas even keeps him around.
Between the ‘my Ethan’ comment and acknowledging Ethan as his best friend, I’m pretty sure Lucas loves Ethan the way someone loves their dog. Real love of the sort that one feels for a dog that has been with you for years. Sure they may be a clumsy golden retriever** that ruins the furnishings, sheds everywhere and somehow managed to catch a skunk and bring it home, but their completely clueless joy in living captures the heart. **I’ve thought of Ethan as a golden retriever since the first time he was drawn with that puzzled expression of cluelessness when some… Read more »

Interesting how the robots haven’t found the tracker yet…they do want Lucas to find him, though, so they probably didn’t remove it on purpose.
It appears to be a passive tracker, as it needs a outside signal to send one back is extremely hard to find. It’s literally a grain of rice sized bit of glass inside ethans body that sits there doing absolutely nothing until it gets the right frequency radio wave
Cut to ethan trying to chew an opening on the cage and zeke sitting outside throwing popcorn at its face.

So if Analog monologues at his current robot synagogue to the point where they’re all agog, can he then start up the dialogue for his freedom’s prologue?

Um…Scott didn’t say what the results of the experiment were. Were there duplicate signals? Did he respawn with a tracker? WHAT HAPPENS?!
If the concern was that there were duplicates, I would presume the test ended “successfully” with no duplicates. As a reader, we’ve seen his body pixelate on both despawn and respawn, so the answer should be fairly clear to the audience as well.

Not that it’s likely given the set-up, but “Who knows what they’re doing to him right now…” practically begs a smash cut to Ethan being fed grapes by half a dozen comely lasses 🙂
Nah, just give him a gaming station and he’s content. No wires, no sharpe points, no reason to smash it…

Whatever they’re doing to Ethan, it can’t be worse than what he does to himself.

I’m a tad miffed that we didn’t get an answer to the question:
“To try and see what exactly was happening, would he respawn with it, would I get duplicate signals, could I track him inbetween respawning, etcetera”
Well…. could you?!?!?!? That he thinks it will work to search for it, presumably he does respawn with it (but then wouldn’t he then respawn with bullets in him? Knife blades??)
Respawns to “last healthy state”, similar to a checkpoint in a video game. Since he respawns clothed, it isn’t a stretch to believe he’d respawn with the RFID tag unless his body considered it a foreign object to attack (which, encased in glass, is not the normal bodily response).
As for duplicate signals, we’ve previously seen Ethan pixelate on despawn and respawn, so that answer also seems to be resolved.

They’re probably eating popcorn and placing bets on how Ethan knocks himself out without successfully killing himself.
Frankly they don’t need to do *anything*, he’s doing it to himself.
I would be more worried for them than for ethan
Yay Scotty!
I think the answer to that is “Ethan is actually annoying them to death wish, suicide or cross-murder” lol
Probably nothing, expect watching him how he tries to kill himself by holding his breath?
Sorry to nitpick Tim, but you have forgotten to color in Scotts glasses…
You don’t wear glasses do you? You have any idea how many pair most people keep around their house in case they loose or break the ones they normally wear?
I’m confused how this comment is supposed to relate to the one you replied to? Nobody was talking about extra pairs of glasses or anything like that…
I read it as ‘forgot the color of’ due to the color here being different from the color shown in previous comics. As you can tell, my own glasses needed a bit of cleaning lol
Arcatus was referring to Scott’s lenses. If you look at the previous comic you see the lens and in this one they are missing.
Typically just one extra pair with an outdated prescription. Do other people have more?

How about the litteral execution of the experiment? That is some messed up stuff.
