The website design here kind of stinks. I’m guessing your username and your email match? [email protected]? thats all you need to post as “you” on this webpage. Change your username so it doesn’t match your email.
Good thing I’m not having problems with being guest; it seems that I’m IP-banned so hard the “stop spam” page won’t even let me send a “why am I here” message.
There’s only a box to input an e-mail address, if I’m the user with admin privileges for the site (which of course I’m not), unless I keep missing it: https://i.imgur.com/sVd61Rv.png
Because the bots have only been a problem in the past 4-5 months, and requiring accounts to make a comment on an online comic strip just seems like extra hoops to jump through that would ultimately diminish discussion. The option to register is there, and it allows you to post as you (with a badge and anything) so that even if a guest poster uses your name, the “real” you is apparent. Or, as you said, just don’t make your username the same as your email address so the bots can’t spam guess your info.

Probably the best thing for Ethan would have just been to leave it at that, maybe with the thugs wondering why the corpse disappeard some time later, but without suspecting that anybody knows anything…
Not sure if that really was a viable option, Ethan doesn’t seem to have that much control over his respawns. I don’t think he can really choose his respawn time, he simply respawns when dead. It’s mostly chance that this time everyone was apparently looking away at the right moment. Similarly, he respawns near his corpse anyway. And they’re in the middle of a open hall with clear vision everywhere. Not much room for hiding after the respawn, especially with such a brightly visible costume. And even if he did successfully pull off the ‘mysterious disappearance’ trick, wouldn’t thugs be… Read more »
Yes, fair points. Also, its even highlighted that he did not kill him “in the back” (of the warehouse, that is. Otherwise he very much killed him in the back). So i agree, it probably was not an option.

Ethan that was the time to be quiet and sneak out when they ain’t looking, not the “I told you so” time to get shot again, just for them to figure out that they can simply bind you and throw you in the ocean. I mean, you probably survive that as well since you spawn a bit differently from where you died but you’d still drown like xx times before reaching the surface of the water.
That brings up an interesting question. Ethan always respawns with whatever he was wearing. Would that include “cement shoes”? If so, that would possibly keep him on the bottom of the ocean continuously dying and respawning.
Unlikely its “infinite lives” on video game logic. For example in a previous strip yeas back he jumped out a window and respawned back inside the building. So he’d respawn somewhere safe, just like if you were playing some arena death match game and fell off a cliff into lava you wouldn’t expect the game to respawn you in the lava but back on the playing field.
I have always wondered about that one, does he get to choose his respawn point? Like when the Master had him in the box and took measures for him to not kill himself…
Since it’s game logic, he obviously respawns at the last checkpoint!

Is true that sneaking out would be the most logical course of action but you can’t deny that scare the s€#t out to those gangers about being inmortal or in fact somekin of undead thing is still “funny”.

When are people going to learn to not apply real life logic to the super hero comic strip? ?

Had to go back and check, but this lot are called the Sun Devils. Same Sun Devils as the gang that were featured in early Starcaster Chronicles (that Cort et al had to deliver dodgy explosives to)?
Is Tim creating a full on comic universe here, with the two series taking place at two very different times? Does that imply that Chronicles should have supers hidden around the place?

People commenting about this being the time for Ethan to sneak out are possibly missing some of the subtext here. He may be doing this on purpose; if he feels bad about what happened to ZK, or partially responsible, this may be a way of punishing himself.
I suspect that he’s just so used to working with backup that this is more him finding out what happens when Lucas isn’t on DPS duty while Ethan tanks.

Just let Albie empty the clip first, then you can finish the sentence.

Man he’s just asking to get tied up for a few days. He needs to disappear after respawn, not try to get off a tag line.

Albie looks to be a better shot than 99.9999% of the bad guys out there, who usually can’t hit the broadside of a barn, especially not even using the sights.

It’d be really unfortunate if he had a Spiderman 2-esque response to his emotion about Zeke’s situation, where his powers falter and fail him temporarily.
One sentence… FFS… 😀
Uh, a bot used my info to post something? Can I… do something about that?
Hell it even has the “gravatar” icon or whatever I set up ages ago which doesn’t even appear on this by default, what the hell.
@P2Mc28 try changing your password if it dosen’t work, burn down the whole internet then nuke it from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.
Its probably just posting a scrubbed username with it’s fake email address.

Or register an actual account here with a password, instead of relying on guest commenting.
Wait, there’s a way to do that? I need to really look that stuff up. ?
Just go to Login at the top, and then sign up.
Well I’ll be… neat! ? Thanks!

I did that, but when i try to log in, it says I was blocked by the site’s owner. Is that something you can help with, Tim?
Somewhere there there should be a place to request access. It sends me a request to override whatever it thinks is suspicious about the registration.

I didn’t know either, doing it now myself
Yeah… didn’t know that. Why not just make people register? That would stop this problem all together.
