Damn. That’s the problem with the format, it’s so easy to forget what happened in previous arcs when you’re bounce between Analog and D-Pad, to Starcaster, to the RPG, to the slice-of-real-life stuff.
Obviously I could be way on the mark but this feels a lot like “They’ve proven themselves to be worthy heroes so let’s approach them to see if they’ll join our team” but the team may be more shadowy and immoral than the heroes prefer.
Why not both, Nicole and Drath´zul? After all, that really sounds like a corny villain name a gamer would pick, apostrophe and unneccesarily complex consonant composition and all that stuff …
Well, if the figure ahead of them and the figure behind them are the same person, wouldn’t it be the person who agreed to consult with Drath’zul (“the remorseless one”)? I kinda guessed based on the circular face thingy (like an “O”) that this was Obliteron.
It seems like the person in the panel referenced here is referencing someone named “Drath’zul”, not that person themselves. Is the thing they are looking at an illusion?

So you found a guy that transforms into some Lovecraftian horror, and just assume he’s a villain? Not cool, guys. He clearly don’t want to fight: Recruiter, maybe.
Also, do Ethan know this guy? We reacts faster than Lucas, seems less shocked.
There is a villain we’ve heard of once from Captain Prime named Dr Eldritch, who had planted a “tentacle bomb” in the city, so it’s not an out of pocket assumption.

Oh, enter the “global threat” league … I still hope Tentaculady isn´t Nicole.
If they’re vigilantes or whatever, they need to rethink their name. The Remorseless isn’t the *best* of names for public image. I do get that “We are the people who stop those without remorse” is a bit too long, but I’m still leaning towards villains here.
Besides, I don’t think two video game themed people fits into a group with spooky cloak guy and tentacle person (presumably Drath’Zul but perhaps not).

This is clearly a BatMan simile and he wants our favorite heroes to join his secret crime fighting group.
