Idk, an injury that doesn’t kill him could work. Leave him in a situation at some point to off himself hoping he’ll revive so he can go help Lucas.

Let’s be honest: This is a fair reaction from Lucas. Nobody’s ever ready to JUST meet Ethan. You need to be prepped first. Like before entering a warzone, minus the will-making,
being an Ethan-type… yeah…. Not dangerous but the experience might leave you changed.
Ethan definitely requires an explanation and warning label.
And packaged in bubble wrap.
Ethan seems like the type where bubble wrap would be ineffective simply because he’d have too much fun popping it all.
Plot twist – what if Ben is actually the true Troll behind everything and now he’s fishing for info?
I’m not sure it counts as a twist when people have been randomly calling that for pretty much every character ever since Troll appeared, regardless how little sense it makes.

But Ben started being very inquiring here – within 4 panels he already got a basic info about the powers, his friend and that the guy’s the other superhero from their duo… Now asking when he can meet him…
Still nothing out of ordinary for a normal relationship.
That’s not within 4 panels though. Ben explained earlier how he figured out Lucas’s identity after their first date. He also did some basic research on D-Pad, so he knows they shoot arrows and team up with Analog. Lucas then told him about his roommate sometime during their dates. It doesn’t take rocket science to guess the superhero partner and the friend they’re living with are probably the same person. Its the unnerving sense that things are going way too good with Ben. So people are looking for the other shoe before it drops to lock in their I told you so slot.
I get that, but I’d prefer it if people at least tried to find a shoe for that, rather than only looking for ways to shove a dead horse onto a foot.
Some good speculation can be fun, but then at least make it somewhat interesting or plausible. Have any actual ideas, rather than only mindlessly shouting ‘Troll’ at everything as if nothing else exists.
Its honestly likely Ben will be a victim they could have saved if they were superheroing.
Ugh, really? First Ben is Deathblood, and now Ben is the Troll? Maybe Ben is just Ben and is asking questions because he wants to know more about his boyfriend.
Let people speculate. It’s half the fun, even if the takes are wrong. The way you went about phrasing this, was a bit mean, so, maybe chill it a little? :3

This is especially stupid because we’ve already seen the Troll, he’s smaller and as of late leagues uglier than Ben.
It’s possible he’s one of the trolls many supporters, but I highly doubt he’s the original.
Maybe Ben is just Ben but does think Ethan tossed a kid off a roof… and is a cop.
I’m pretty sure the troll was disfigured by the acid bath he took, and is now in custody of the authorities.
It’s funny how a slight change can completely alter the quality of something. Ben revealed to be Deathblood? An interesting, compelling twist that makes the story more nuanced and complex. Ben revealed to be The Troll? A lame asspull that just ruins any kind of nuance, shatters what has already been built, and returns the story to a much shallower state than it’s in already. Hmmm, I am really not happy with Lucas giving away any info on Ethan at this point. He should have asked Ethan first if he was okay with it. And the fact that Ben did not stop him and even probed a little is even more suspect. I mean he did say that he was waiting for Lucas to come forward rather than revealing he knew already. Why the 360 with Ethan than. Things that make you go “Hmmm”.
Ethan is… a personality. With or without Lucas’ confirmation, I don’t think Ben would have any difficulty putting two and two together. Ben’s probing doesn’t really feel out of place, Luca’s super hero isn’t *exactly* Ben’s business, but it’s no more out of place than if Lucas wanted to know about Ben’s work partner (and one topic is quite a bit more interesting than the other.)
Plus, Ethan implied, and later stated, he’d be ok with letting the cat out of the bag if it meant Lucas could be happy. Secrets P3, and P17. Scott too in P9.

He waited until Lucas told him he was a super, but asked about Ethan right off the bat.
I’m not sure I’d even count that as asking, it’s more confirming what he pretty much knew already. Between knowing Lucas is D-Pad, D-Pad is partnered with Analog, and that Lucas has a roommate, it’s not hard to guess that the roommate is probably Analog then. (And with meetings with said roommate now being on the table, it makes sense to confirm they are indeed in on it. With everyone speculating who and what Ben is, it’s my turn to speculate. I think Ben is just Ben. But because of him being this good guy cop who is a decent person and wants to love Lucas and be the guy…
He’s likely going to be put in a situation that’s beyond himself and potentially become a casualty in the war between the heroes and the villains. And that’s going to profoundly shake-up Lucas, and by extension Ethan as well.
Ben won’t get hurt. Tim isn’t a cruel author.
