Dude, badass soldier design!
Really like how the “magazines” in this case are the many games Xbone’s command brought and now gave them a lot of “firepower”. And I just love how the “generations” of the Xboxes and PSXs are so different looking yet all belong to the same team with its inner quarrels and struggles.^^
That would make for an interesting poster or something like that. We saw the colonial Nintendo people meeting up with the Atari natives but never saw Sega or any other consoles between them and the recent gens. Also, and this might honestly be too heavy a subject to touch on in a gaming comic, it would be interesting to see his take on Sega slowly losing the console war and eventually being absorbed into Nintendo.
A family tree poster that shows the evolution would be pretty cool. Tim could also create some designs for some of the others that are missing from the story line, like the Segas, and show their family tree branch dying out. I’d buy that.
Like a hallway with the pictures of the ancestors until you reach the new age with Holograms showing the newest generation. Yeah, I’d like that. Like some sort of history museum for game stations.

ive said it before and had all of the rest of you jump on me saying “blah blah he is an artist you dont tell an artist what to do” but he really needs to stick with the console wars, they are by and far his best and most interesting strip. and as a consumer of the art. i demand it!
I appreciate your enthusiasm for the series, but honestly I think what makes them work is finding ways to translate industry console news through the lens of an ongoing war. But there just isn’t THAT MUCH console news to justify/support a series 3 days/week, 52 weeks a year. It would run out of relevant things to say very quickly. I’ve approached the soldier design this time with the benefit of some experience, and hopefully will have alleviated the biggest deficit I faced with the past generation; the expression and individuality of the soldiers. I generaly agree. CW does work better as a periodic series when theres some interesting commentary to be had.
That said it would be cool to see a poster or a filler strip at some point of the family tree of each of the major combatants in the ongoing wars. That or spoof that evolution of man image (fish>ape>neanderthal>man) but with successive console generations instead.
I agree. That said, I wouldn’t mind some more action strips, getting the payoff from reveals like this. If these soldiers are so miraculously badass as to turn the tide, what does that look like? That sort of thing.
I’d just love to see a console wars game with your work the driving force behind it.

I think that’s because of their weapon’s codename. it has “2020” in it. Bad luck.
When I saw them in the panel I thought of the turrets in Portal.
The PS5 transport is as ugly as the console itself, am I the only one happy with the PS4 Pro and waiting for a Slim version?

That being said, I really really enjoy the strips with the “PS4 Squad” especially when you add a gaming spin to war movie chatter.
