It’s probably unrelated but the first thing I thought of when I read the name “Scott Vogel” was the incredibly quotable lead singer of the hardcore band “Terror”.
“I want to see exactly five stage dives, no more, no less”.

As much as I hope for some penguin-related intrigue – or an even bigger twist SCOTT being the leader of those techno ninjas – part of me hopes it actually IS a jetpack, and Ethan gets all paranoid and does his usual ridiculous hijinks only for Scott to show it was to be part of his superhero outfit the whole time.
Then there’s one final page that hints he’s up to something in the end after distracting Ethan with jetpacks.
