I guess we’re about to find out if Gameboy can hit pause on things that aren’t living beings. If so, awesome. If not, the kid’s about to get hurt.

I think the kid tested it before, at least his mom sounded like somebody with a clear head on her shoulders. They might have tried it with a football for example, he touched it, making it unmovable and somebody tried to kick it. If it didn’t move, his power worked even if said thing is not alive.

That would require more testing too, because the football was alive at some point. Organics vs inorganics, things currently in motion, with potential to motion

So… you can build a robot suit, but the best use of it you can come up with is robbing banks? You could probably make a lot more money by just selling it.

Reminds me of a superman comic where he catches some guy robbing banks with a futuristic jet pack suit… And Superman’s like “you made this in your garage… And you go and rob banks?”

In a world with superheroes, that could be normal construction equipment, a la Batman Beyond.

I agree with Ethan. That is a cool villain name.

Looks like Demo Duke has some airvents on top of his Demo Bot. Time to toss some sleeping gas in there, or wreck things in there with Lucas’ arrows.

A learning experience for Duke.

Lucas just needs to go for the joints, that has ALWAYS been the weakest point of armor, regardless of who what where or when….

Police or State Heroes still not there? No wonder they allow vigilantes to do their “hero hobby”.

A quick google search shows the best average police response time in the US is over 5 minutes, and if Captain Prime is the only state here her response time is probably terrible.
So it makes sense. The police probably won’t be able to do much either. I imagine they might have a Swat team made specifically to fight super powered folks that don’t require calling the Captain.

So if they were right around the corner it makes sense they got there so fast!

I love that his suit has the safety warning markings on it like a forklift. Be careful not to get hit indeed.

When you came up with “Tool Hand Duke” you obviously were excited as I was that Cool Hand Luke was available on Netflix.

Other Names:
The Duke of Battered
Duke Spook’em
Harsh ReDuke
Dastardly Duke
Duke Warm
The Duke of Naughty Hands
Duke of Smash Bridge

Okay, I’m done. Sorry.

Time to disagree with the crowd. I think Gameboy and Ethan will be fine. Lucas is in a lot of trouble. From a story arc perspective, it makes the most sense for Ethan to have to choose between saving his friend or the kid and, true to his somewhat hazy at times priorities, he will save the kid. We’ll then see him grieving for Lucas while deciding to and/or mentoring Gameboy.

Tch. Looking at the storyline name is cheating, kid.

Now I really want the term “cape” to actually be a derogatory term for vigilantes that dress up and not just him insulting Ethan specifically.

I don’t think I’ve seen one of D-Pad’s arrows get broken before (including when the Troll strapped bombs to those hostages). I like that they break into pixels.

It occurs to me, GameBoy doesn’t know Analog’s powers. He might assume he’s got none other than his gadgets. What happens when analog gets seriously injured? Will Gameboy panic and put him in stasis to try and save his life?

Isn’t Game Boy explicitly a fan of these two? Isn’t it likely that a bit of research into past exploits would reveal that kind of info?

Not really. It’s been stated that they are relatively unknown amateur heroes. And he didn’t seem to know them at all when he first crossed paths with them.

He was impressed with the gadgets.
