Everyone remembers how bad Lucas’ relationships were in Crtl+Alt+Del 1.0. Obviously it’s going to keep happening. There is no way Tim will change a running plotline (please ignore the obvious debunking of that with the very concept of Crtl+Alt+Del 2.0).
I’ve searched far and wide for a game that begins as I remember the demo: Protagonist is talking all moody-like to his fancy knife in an aircraft, then gameplay begins as he stands in a snowy shipping yard designed to teach basic movement. Everywhere I ask, from used game shops to gaming forums, nobody knows the game I speak of. The best guess has been Metal Gear Solid 3, but I know all those games well and Snake doesn’t have his knife out and he begins in a non-snowy forest.
It was 3D and graphics looked amazing for the early 2000’s so it must have been Xbox or maybe GameCube. Probably a 3rd-Person hack-&slash probably with shooting, but I’m not confident of gun inclusion because I was pulled away as soon as gameplay started. “It’ll be there next time”, they say, and it never is.
Project IGI? Starts in a railyard with a knife held by a snarky protagonist who is inserted by helicopter. That first mission has no snow, but later missions are snowy.
I have IGI2 on GOG; it looks worse probably, is in first-person (sorry for omitting the third-person detail) and begins with a dive from a plane without moody-talk with the knife out. So I strongly doubt what I remember is from the first game.
Only thing I remember even close to that kind of setup would be MGS 2 sons of liberty, though its a different character in there fiddling with his knife while watching the protagonist and its on a deck of a ship in the middle of a storm..
I absolutely support this. I kept remembering this game I used to play back in my childhood. Didn’t remember what it was called, just some of the scenery and that it was point and click. Unfortunately our computer wasn’t able to run it after we made the very bad decision to upgrade to Windows ME and it got thrown out. I was close to finishing it, and was really devastated by that. Ya know that even if they break this up for <insert reason here>, he’s going to see D-Pad in costume and just KNOW who it is. Depending on how good the split went, he will either be trouble for Lucas or message with “we gotta talk”.
Maybe end up as their “man on the inside”… well, in a different way.
Breaks the immersion that you use the Data East Jurassic Park pinball back glass and the Stern Jurassic Park Playfield. /s
But I am enjoying this relationship
Am I the only one who sees this as a future relationship blow up and then a reconciliation so that he becomes their man on the inside?
