New blog post up.
Black Friday is right around the corner. I’m going to slash the price of the CAD 1.0 Box Set if you’ve been waiting to pick one up, so keep an eye out.
Also, SUMO has a new website, and I’ve got word that they’re going to have a Black Friday deal for 25% off. So check back here and I’ll have a code you can use to shave a quarter of the price off of a comfy new, irresponsibly large bean bag chair!
I hope all of my stateside readers have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I, uh, need that apron.
Seconded!
That…could have gone worse. I mean, there are no apparent injuries. Unless the exploding kitchen is coming in p3.
Remember, if he gets injured he can fix it by just killing himself.
What about Scott and Lucas?
No flames? No explosions? Is Ethan sick?
This is just the final (or most recent) incarnation of Ethan. He may have blown himself up or lit himself on fire a few times off panel.
I know right! I was looking forward to a few frames worth of respawns.
Good to know that Ethan is still a complete nutjob in this timeline. The only difference is that he can’t be killed (apparently) so his antics have no real impact on him.
At least he didn’t deep-fry the plates. xD
The ones everything’s served on? No.
The ones they’re eating off of? Yes.
I gotta give him credit. Thats the most American meal I’ve ever seen.
that’s already way beyond the most american type:) (deep fried plates, fork, salad and napkins, aka four non edible items served as meal:D)
Ill buy myself a sumo one day 😀
Well, Thanksgiving was last month, and we don’t celebrate Pilgrim Massacre Day up here in Canada. But Happy Late-by-a-month Thanksgiving anyways…

If you make no effort into overcoming the OP’s confirmation bias, that video won’t have the intended effect.
why is the table not fried, Ethan?
He obviously could not get it into the fryer. But notice that some of the plates that the dishes are on are not fryed either. 😉
Just like at Uncle Moe’s Family Feedbag!
Hate to say this … but didn´t The Simpsons do this once?
It’s possible. I imagine The Simpsons has done everything at this point.
Eh, kinda, but the joke was about family restaurants, not Thanksgiving dinner.

Am I the only one wondering how mashed potatoes were deep fried?
Ice-cream style. Freeze first, then flash fry
dont even need to do that, Potatoes are easy to deep fry no matter how they are made. You smoosh up the potatoes into a shape and then fry it
Suddenly I’m really hungry
Just wait until he asks what they’d like to drink.
And suddenly now, I’m wondering how everything that we’re currently prepping for tomorrow will taste if it was deep-fried. Cranberry sauce… deviled eggs… pumpkin pie…
… you know, it doesn’t sound half bad.
The Dieticians of America Incorporated thanks you for promoting Obesity this holiday season 😉
(No offense to anyone at all)
Lucas should just be happy the house is still intact
While this is certainly funny (deeply funny) 😉 I’m still concerned that this Ethan (Ethan 2.0) is becoming a bit too much like Ethan 1.0. I was feeling like this Ethan wasn’t *quite* as stupid as Ethan 1.0, and it was a refreshing change. Now I’m concerned that 2.0 will spiral off into the slightly-more-than-semi-madness of 1.0. Not that 1.0 wasn’t funny because he was. It’s just that my impression was that 2.0 was supposed to be a bit less crazy and not a total clone of 1.0’s personality. If I was incorrect in this belief, then I apologise for… Read more »
The primary change to Ethan’s personality in the new continuity is not necessarily that he’s less eccentric, but more that it doesn’t come at everyone else’s expense. After ten years of story in the original timeline, Ethan had done a lot of things that, on their own were funny and crazy, but all added together equaled a rather inconsiderate individual. Part of that is also my fault, not dedicating more page time to showing his redeeming qualities; the traits that would endear him to his friends despite his destructive nature. So my goal this time is to be more cognizant… Read more »
As a long-time fan, I was able to see enough of original-timeline Ethan’s redeeming qualities to be genuinely emotionally involved in his character. If you read every comic from the very beginning, the silly and the serious, you can definitely see character growth in him over time, and you can see what his friends and Lilah see in him that draw them to him despite his flaws. (Well, I can, at least.) Heck, I cried after reading the now-infamous “Loss” strip – and I mean “This Is Us” level cried. I have never understood how people who have no investment… Read more »
