I wonder how many people googled the name. I totally didn’t…

I see Lucas is going to be playing those loyalist scum of the emperor. sad times with glorious chaos making a comeback :D. hopefully this time around Ethan doesn’t katamari his army lol
Interesting, I didn’t realized this first.
Thought he switched to Warmachine/Hordes, but after this is some sort of reboot he could found his way back to warhammer.
The funny thing is, the comics where they played warhammer where the first ones I found and got to cad-comics that way.
Yeah I remember that. I was not into 40k back then. Also I found CAD thanks to the run of pages where Ethan was trying to get an early peak at one of the Mass Effect games. Someone on the forums was posting links to the comic

honestly, i don’t even want the game, laser fangs sound really cool and i want some!
Dry Water is not, strictly speaking, water. It’s water covered in silica. If you stripped the silica, the water would be wet.
And yes, I AM fun at parties, why do you ask?

This is why Pokemon (dare I say it?) has its benefits.
The preorder bonus was a map for Sun and Moon. A very nice map mind you, but still a map. It’s not much of anything that people feel they get boosts for, and the prospect of getting something obscenely rare if you go online and get a FREE thing for your PAID game is enough to encourage a spike in debut sales.

What’s wrong with pre-ordering from a large company? How is that at all “selling your soul”?
It clearly says selling your soul in relation to getting more stuff. More stuff that is only available at large companies. Hmmm…suddenly I see how you could infer that he meant you’d be selling your soul by buying from a large company
“Sell their souls” used in this manner is a figure of speech meaning “Give just about anything to acquire what they want”. He’s describing the desire some people have to get “extra content” with their games, and that they’ll do whatever (preorder a game) and go wherever (to a specific store) in order to acquire it. This is reinforced in the next line of dialogue where he points out that those customers aren’t in play for GameHaven anyway because they can’t offer game content bonuses. Now if you want to draw the further conclusion that buying from a huge corporation… Read more »
Silly Ethan, there’s no dignity or self-respect to be had when preordering. You’re blindly handing over money to an industry that has proven time and time and time again that it does not deserve such trust. Dignity and self-respect are bonuses reserved for those who wait a mere few days after launch to make sure they aren’t spending their money on the latest Aliens Colonial Marines, Batman Arkham Knight PC port, No Man’s Sky, or Mass Effect Andromeda. So yes, laser fangs still win, but only by default. (Also I’m not trying to insult people who preorder. I’m not saying… Read more »

well if I were them I would look into getting a couple 3d printers and making their own pre order bonus.
or Ethan can do the batshit crazy thing and give away jars of his own blood, because respawn.
If I remember correctly, there was a game that gave a woman’s severed torso as a pre order bonus.
It might work…

So uh, is this prequel stuff from the original Ethan + Lucas timeline? Is this Analog and D-Pad stuff when they’re not superheroing? Is this a third, separate timeline that narrative convention dictates I add to this list?
I’ll happily fill you in because I’m the freak who just happened to read and remember what was explained, something like… 3 years ago? To put it briefly, at the end of the last Ethan/Lucas series, there was a portion below the actual comic where Tim explained that the first timeline had come to its conclusion, and that he would reboot a new timeline with the same characters that was independent of the concluded timeline. He stated a few valid reasons including the fact that his characters were not originally meant for an extended plot line and that he had… Read more »
In his Video Blog posted a few weeks ago, Tim explained that he still wanted to do Ethan and Lucas in their “normal lives” comics but was dismayed because the last Analog and D-Pad issue ended in a cliffhanger, so the next one will have to start there. Therefore, the decision was made to not hang on to the single timeline, but to allow himself the opportunity to still do the normal lives storylines as well. To my understanding, this is the same world that they are superheroes in. It’s not focused on them being superheroes, so it’s either before… Read more »

I think this is the beginning of an interesting discussion. If Ethan and Lucas are in a modern world like ours, they should know that they’re not only competing agains big chain stores, but that they are also competing against DIGITAL game orders, a constantly growing market. Many such physical store are beginning to make the game-buying even more of an experience, rather than just a transaction: with both ‘extras’ (like laser fangs) and a store full of other goodies that can be bought alongside the game – things that you can’t get when you digitally buy a game, but… Read more »

Sorry, but dignity and self-respect don’t have +20 Critical Hit Chance…
There is no self respect in a pre order.
Super dissapointed that it’s not a real game T_T
Well, no robots but I think Vampyr will fit the bill, made by the same guys who did Life is Strange and Remember Me

The Emperor Protects!
Dignity and self-respect? Or 20% off?
Yeah, sorry, Ethan and Lucas.
How about both?
Yippee, you save maybe $5-10 and in return, the game developers don’t need to worry about making a good game because they already have your money.
Love the fact he is reading the Space Marine codex assume it is supposed to be the new one though it is the artwork from the last one

I would imagine they are just cheap plastic fangs that glow a bit.

Don’t game companies usually do a more general preorder incentive for smaller stores?
“Dignity & Self-Respect”

He went to Words School
