I’ll make it look even weirder for you. Not only are the spokes missing, the right suspension bar is missing, and there doesn’t even seem to be a wheel, just a tire.
(my guess is tim just didn’t want to draw a bunch of tiny spokes)
The front one also doesn’t make sense, with the center part just hovering in midair (you can tell it’s not solid because you see the other parking line through it).
Yeah, she sounds like a reasonably sensible person. Not the kind of idiot that tries to drink from a cup while riding a motorcycle through a city. So, she finished her coffee before hopping on.

Don’t you hate it when you keep accidentally sneaking up on people? I know I am.
My dad is deaf in one ear, so accidentally sneaking up on him happens a lot in like just living normally. You get used to it and learn ways to announce your presence better

Artistic question: What do you consider when deciding camera angles, if you do think about it? The reason I’m asking, is that the first panel of Lilah is shot from an upward angle, which often is used for showing a person in power, intimidation or control (And other use cases that I’m forgetting). Did you consider this, or was it just what happened to be drawn? Genuinely curious.
It reminded me more of the Counterpoise position. Intimidation/power seems to be mixed in via lighting cues, whereas this conveys to me honesty, integrity… someone you’d look up to (regardless of stature).
Yep, sometimes trying to invoke a feeling or emotion is a reason I choose a certain camera angle. Other times it’s solely because I’m trying to mix things up a bit. Drawing things head-on at eye level is common, it’s easy, and often comfortable and necessary. But it also can feel a little flat and boring sometimes. So I’ll look at a panel I need, like this establishing shot which gives you important information (Hey, it’s Lilah/looks like she’s leaving the place she works/she’s in a parking garage) but is otherwise not super exciting. How can I make it a… Read more »
It does indeed break up the easy “boring” shots, while keeping the flow of the reading experience going smoothly

Given she was the one who brought up the Troll was missing from his hospital room, going to go out on a limb and wager he’s hoping she has information or at least a lead on where he might be. If that’s the case this could be how she ends up playing a larger role.
In his defense, he has drawn some rather nice horses in the past and even had them as important parts of the strip 😉

Pepper spray would actually be really bad for him as it is, by design, non lethal.

Lol people causing shit over a coffee cup and a motorbike. :p
In all seriousness, I imagine Tim put the coffee cup in her hand to give the first scene a little bit more character. Also it’s possible it’s easier to draw the hand holding a cup rather than just a hand. Best to use our imagination (difficult I know but let’s try :p ) and believe she threw out the cup off screen.
It’s a small bike and it’s just a quickly drawn item that no one (including myself) is worried about. focus on the characters, not the backdrop. I’ve seen far worse on cheesy B-movies. I was hoping she’d come back in the picture at some point, and she might be a target of the troll as well. Although, he might be shocked if she agrees with him! She hasn’t seen Ethan use his power yet, so the rescue might change that! If I’m remembering right, she just thought he was a poser, pretending to be a super to stalk her or… Read more »

As far as the coffee goes, she walked through the door and is about to get on her motorcycle, IF anyone has ridden at anytime, why would you keep it when you have NO way to hold onto it? she most likely downed it and threw it away before getting to her bike… It takes 2 hands to operate it to start moving, unless it’s a big enough bike to have an automatic transmission, that’s a dinky 250cc at BEST.

He’s dorky adorable. In another timeline I could totally see them as a normal couple.
Excuse me, but how bad is that rear wheel of whatever you like to call that thing a motorcycle.
I missed it at first but the more I watch it the more it looks weird indeed.
Curiously I just assumed it was a solid rim, but hey, there are also no spokes in the front wheel so magnetically suspended?

Or maybe forgot to add the/a layer when exporting ?
I see spokes. Looks like he fixed it.
Cover over the wheel ?

Well, I’m more concerned about how she’s gong to drink that coffee.
It seems to have disappeared in the later panels
Maybe it was empty and she threw it out
Tim: Creates an engaging story, relatable and impactful characters, and does an amazing job drawing their expressions.
All of us (me included): Dude the back wheel of that parked bicycle on the side of the shot looks janked.
This is why artists don’t draw bikes 😛
Where did the coffee go?
Probably drank it and tossed the cup in a bin on the way to the bike.

Plot twist: Lilah is the Troll’s partner.
I totally forgot that Lilah works for the Walmart electronics brand. https://www.walmart.com/onn

I was wondering why onn looked like oann but then the comic had onn (likely a play to cnn) before Fox wasn’t far enough right wing for some.
Nice update on the motorcycle art now in the second panel, and sorry to be the bearer of bad news
But you still need to draw in the bike’s righthand front suspension fork which should be showing behind the wheel and the spokes
Same in the rear and a chain might help, too. BTW, the suspension should not be a solid block with the engine.
You’re really overestimating how much I give a shit about this motorbike 😉
…but the chain on an early 70s K50 sprint is on the right side, so you wouldn’t even see it from this angle.
Also, who says motorbikes have to follow the same rules in that clearly non-realistic version of Earth?
And you can always say a wizard did it *shrugs*
Hear me out
Never do a comic based on bicycles or horses, both are infamously difficult to get right.
Thankfully Tim probably doesn’t need to sweat over this motorbike every page.
In his defense, he has drawn some rather nice horses in the past and even had them as important parts of the strip 😉
Pepper spray would actually be really bad for him as it is, by design, non lethal.
