The easiest way to troll a troll is simply to point out that they are trolling and that’s all that they are.

Wow, really helpful there, Lilah. Kick the guy while he’s down. /sarc.
I know I’m in the minority about this, but I have literally never understood just why people feel the need to take shots at other people as a sign of affection. If I insult someone it’s because I DON’T like them. Color me ignorant, but people who insult me are generally not those I would call friend.
I agree with you, but there’s some sort of childhood schoolyard psychology at play here – sort of how the boy teases the girl that he actually likes. Maybe to try to hide his feelings? Or the opposite – to make them known in a subtle way? Maybe they just want to interact with their crush and don’t know how to go about it?
I don’t know. Maybe a psychologist can weigh in here.
I think part of it is the underlying understanding of ‘we know and respect each other enough that we know these words clearly can’t be serious’. It’s not really a thing you do to make friends, and more a thing you can do among friends. (And with it being a thing you only really do among friends, being able to make such jokes with someone is in a strange way confirming that friendship).
And (other people’s) social interactions are often weird.
I pick on my friends because it’s how I show affection. I avoid known triggers and I take ownership and apologize if something lands incorrectly. It’s always delivered with a ton of exaggeration to make it clear it’s in good fun. If I dislike someone on the other hand, I treat them like they don’t exist. If there’s a forced/unavoidable interaction, I do the minimum required effort to end the interaction, then go back to erasing them in my mind. I don’t insult them, because nobody I’d want to insult is actually worth the energy to do so, and usually… Read more »
2) A lot of a-holes try to cover that kind of bs and bullying as “just playing around.”
3) Some teasing, verbal sparring and horsing around is perfectly healthy and fun, within the right circumstances and in the right human relationship.
It’s hard to explain, to someone that doesn’t get it already. But it’s literally not an insult, in those cases. Poking fun at ourselves, and others doing it, can be quite therapeutic and humbling for example.
With my friends we LOVE to take shots exactly where it hurts. For me it’s being disabled, for my brother it’s being bald, for another it’s being fat, german, black, gay, etc. It’s a pretty good way to play down those insults, to take ownership of them and to make them way less painfull. If you can laugh at your own flaws, no one will be able to hurt you with them.

There is always haters and those desperate to bring someone with some kind of power down a few notches. Tabloids and yellow journalism proves that. Who WOULDN’T make that joke at least once anyway? Once the Troll was stable he should of been moved to a prison with a hospital anyway, many have infirmaries built like that, it would of been way harder for him to escape.
No they get transferred to an actual hospital if necessary…. Well that’s the idea a lot of jails get in trouble because inmates die due to the officials ignoring them and nit sendings them to a hospital.
As prisons are intended for long term incarnation they have medical staff in hand.
There’s a range. No prison has an actual hospital that can do surgery, etc. (At least that I’m aware of) Every jail has a first aid kit under the guards desk. Some have defibrillator on the walls. Others have actual nurses stations, Some few probably have overnight beds. Here in Eastern Iowa we have a state prison that houses all of the inmates that require regular medical services like dialysis. The Johnson County Jail has an annex on it.
So someone that publicly took hostages AND used explosives is just taken to a hospital and is left alone? Someone that has no regard for human life or their rights in just handcuffed to a flimsy bed rail, given a pat on the head, and left alone? I doubt that.

I’m sorry, but her delivery needs work. Makes me suspect she was just awkwardly trying to defuse the tension about discussing such a psycho. And she’s just not good at it. We’ve always seen a confident, sensible and smooth Lilah (mostly). In 1.0 too. Maybe this version isn’t “perfect” like that, and she has some of that awkwardness Ethan has as well? That’d be nice. She did feel “too perfect” to me, already. Not enough to bother me, though. Then again, anyone looks good compared to Ethan when he’s being silly or so ? We already know she’s crazy enough… Read more »
I have a lingering suspicion that SHE is the troll…
The troll literally fell off a building and spent time in the hospital where Ethan and Lilah had conversations.
Sister\Sidekick\Mastermind\Just another unrelated troll – you name it 🙂
I was going to say something similar in last comic comments but then I decided not too because that’s just stupid.
Glad someone else was brave enough
Well, I thought it was kinda funny, but my one upvote won’t counteract the rest. Sorry, bud.
She is trolling him. That is nit implausible after this page.
Sorry for your loss. No reason she couldn’t be the Hobtroll or Troll 2.0 or in a coma while the troll is here with a really on point disguise.
Sort of a Joker/Batman vibe except….yeah
The problem is that a lot of people are more in the “no brain” side
Well, that ejaculated quickly….
Heh, wank the troll out:)
Shamelessly whacking off without breaking eye contact IS a power move…
Yeah, but I think The Troll would actually be into that, so that nullifies that.
Now *that* is a slashfic for our times!
I’m not going googling to find out, but I would stake decent money that it already exists in at least some form on the internet.
Of course…Rule 34
I though I knew what power move means, I’m not so sure now.
Making you doubt what power move means, IS a power move.
more like a power stroke
Hmm, why does that make me think of this one episode from The Boys…?
I was thinking more ‘Preacher’ when we see Herr Starr’s recruitment where he started to whack off to distract his opponent.
And VERY creepy…
As awkward as it was, that sounded like a bit of a indirect flirt. ? The hand on the shoulder says a lot.
Poor Ethan
Even when the girl of his dreams flirts with him he takes a beating
At least if he dies from them he respawns, right? ?
Please don’t be dating a new boyfriend that’s the Troll in disguise…
I hadn’t considered it, and now I’m just praying that this trope has been done enough that Tim will want to avoid it. Ugh.
She didn’t say half a brain, so that’s something … right?
Who is willing to bet Ethan is going to try and start trolling the Troll now lmao

Pretty sure that’s illegal, as he hadn’t been convicted yet. Suspects go to jail and jails don’t have hospitals.
wtf? jails dont have hospital, seriously?

damn, as a non native english speaker I forgot jail and prison had 2 differents meanings. Thanks. Still pretty dark tbh.
