No such thing as bad publicity, right? And since there’s apparently plenty of video game basd heroes, it’s great to have an original theme. One day Ethan will thank the Troll for this assistance in becoming a famous hero!

So, she is paying attention to them. Good, I guess? I hope she’s not TOO high horse about this, since it’s been explained early on that she fell HARD for the troll’s antics in the past.
We all know Ethan’s brain is a bit like Homer Simpson. Simple advertising is capable of brainwashing Homer, pretty much. So… xD
Captain Prime struck me as an elitist witch of a woman ever since she missed out on nabbing the bank robber way back in the beginning of the series. The fact that she deliberately addressed him by a malicious name given to him by a psychopath does not give me hope that she’ll actually be on their side when it counts.
There’s a chance you’re right, but there’s also a solid chance that she’s just very, very jaded about “new” heroes. We don’t necessarily have a handle on how harsh this universe is. In particular, how often do newbies want to emulate Captain Prime and people like her, only to get themselves and/or civilians killed?
I can see that making somebody really standoffish towards newer heroes, especially two kind of silly ones whose themes are based on a hobby built around unrealistic power fantasies.
its like someone seeing fire fighters using backfires to stall fires and deciding they can do it too. next thing you know they are trying to come up with excuses why half a state has burned down. face that situation a couple dozen times and you start to get annoyed. they may have powers, which seem to be a rare but apparently not unusual thing, but that doesnt mean they are ready to deal with the darker side. ethan gets lucky he has apparently unlimited lives, but lucas doesnt and both have seen the downsides of both of those.
ethan is an unregistered firearm. no more a threat than the registered ones, except to those in power.
i would argue that the registered ones are more of a threat to the general public than the unregged variety, on account of being under the control of the government.
I agree with you. Her demeanor makes her off-putting and unlikeable. I could see her flipping as a villain at some point. Very much like the more recent superheroes we see in Marvel movies these days.
I’m willing to give her a shot, since the strip after this one shows she was willing to hear them out about the Troll, and one of her past interactions with them was her saving their asses when they were clearly outmatched while at the same time taking care of one of her own Rogues’ latest plots to destroy the city with a tentacle bomb (whatever that is).
if she dials back the elitism a bit she’ll be fine. If not, she can take a flying leap for all I care.

I love how even though Ethan can’t really die, he’s not taking any chances trying to stand up on D-Pad’s arrow
This is just the case of “I know what I’m doing and you THINK you know what you’re doing”. I don’t think any policeforce likes vigilantes and I don’t think there’s anybody that really likes a new co-worker that waltzes in and says “I don’t need the explanation just lemme at it”. Especially not if they come into the office when you’re off and mess with the files that are on your desk 😉
Off to a good start in this conversation.
He trolled himself, didn’t he? Like posting a link then clicking it in the morning before recalling it was a rick roll.
She masterfully baited him there!
??
Gosh I hope so, cause otherwise she’s really arrogant.
You could say, she pulled it off.
Well done. Masterfully done. You beat me(at) to it.
On a side note… Masturbationman’s motto should be: “He always comes quickly but never goes for an early finish!”
I like that he’s embracing the nameˆˆ
Certainly has a firm grip on his handle!

That is the …least charitable description of a person who likes video games I’ve ever heard. You and Captain Prime would get right along.

ethan is basically a vigilante. A very bad thing, you know.

I really hope I never meet you. Wanna stay alive.

It still hurts. >_< It had been shown.
An if he falls down and kills somebody?
I think it’s very easy to stand on an arrow steered by oneself but to stand on someone else’s arrow ist a completely different thing.
Yeah, it takes complete trust on one controlling arrow…
Wow
Damn, she’s really a b*tch!

of course police dont like vigilantes. they can’t control them
Lol. Every male person with power has treated them the same. Neat. Why did you not say the same of them?
Do we know what Captain Prime’s powers are? Can she fly?
Super strength is all we’ve seen so far, I believe. She doesn’t appear able to fly, but she can jump exceptional distances.
