I got my mom to buy me San Andreas during the hot coffee thing, when the game was getting pulled from stores. We found out about this AT the game store, when the guy explained to us why they don’t stock it anymore.
Then he brought us out to his car, where he had a bunch of copies in his trunk. My mom paid him cash, and the game was mine.

Notes from the Future: “Hot Coffee” was the name of a mod for GTA: San Andreas. Initially, there was a scripted romance seen with the PC that had to be removed due to the M rating restrictions. If developers did NOT remove this scene they wouldn’t get a rating and the game would have a much harder time being sold.
