It’s mainly because for all of Ethan’s faults *not* loving her isn’t one of them. He’d be willing to die for her and has proven time and again that he would go that far if he absolutely had to. For a person whose last relationship was about giving her everything *but* the one thing she really wanted? He’s basically the best prince charming she could have hoped for.
