On the plus side, D-Pad has had a fairly good, if grudging, working relationship with the cops: – Saved a bunch of people from the Troll’s bombs in issue 3. – Saved two cops from a boulder thrown by the Demolition Duke robot in ‘Demolition’ – Stopped the guy with matches and lighter fluid from the Troll Army. – Worked well with them and Phasar to catch the Troll. I’m assuming that he stayed behind to help with the scene until on-duty cops arrived and Lucas decided to take off and let him do his job to avoid awkward conversations.

I use a “Search by Image” extension in Vivaldi. It has a very handy “Capture” tool to select a part of the image. Even without the extension, most reverse image search engines let you search for images in the clipboard and Windows 10+ supports screen clips (Win+Shift+S) which you can paste into reverse image search.

This isn’t the worst outcome, maybe not even a bad one, depending on what Ethan does next? I get the impression that Ben’s waiting for Ethan to trust him directly and open up about it. If he does that, he shows Ben how important the relationship is, and that he can be trusted. Let’s hope.

I know it’s not going to happen, but I wish I could read the story where the cop ends up being Deathblood. Lucas having difficulty coming to terms with their difference in philosophies, but eventually coming to terms with it and looking the other way out of love. Ethan, of course, being completely unsupportive and being forced to coexist with a relationship he doesn’t agree with. There are so many potentially interesting implications. I’m relieved I didn’t have to wait too long for more of this story. I know that the anticipation is how you get people onto Patreon and I respect the heck out of that but I just can’t afford that right now and my heart was aching for Lucas. Thank you!
