This is a hell of a throw, judging by the crowbar’s orbit. Only the momentum should knock him down. Either the helmet is very good, or Ethan is just very strong

Everyone is worried about Ben dying, wouldn’t it be a great plot twist for Ethan to have actually lost his powers and get killed, then Ben teams up with Lucas as his replacement?
It’d certainly be a plot twist, and probably a great one for a big superhero franchise, but for this webcomic…? I don’t know if I’d have the heart to keep reading myself if it became clear he wasn’t coming back. Ethan’s always been the main character for me..

honestly, with all the ways ethan has died, he has probably built up quite a tolerance to pain in general. with some adrenalin pumping he would probably take a bullet center mass and keep going fairly comfortably… for a minute or two.
