The eye colors. This is the first time we’ve seen him in a non-rage(red) state since he got betrayed. That’s encouraging.
Though I wonder what the green color in the last panel means? Apparently magenta is neutral and blue is happy/content, so what could this new green possibly be?
If you haven’t read the original CAD comics before the reboot, this is their “normal” (aka happy/content/meh/okay) color. Red is their rage/angry/kill mode. I think this is the first time they’ve shown green eyes in 2.0, which is a REALLY good sign.

Now Ethan just needs to dump that controlling, gaslighting and overall toxic girlfriend of his and his life would be back on track.
Pretty sure that last interaction was a subtle (not really) break up, but the words need to be said, especially in her case. He might want to bring back up though, and probably the back-up’s cop boyfriend too. 😒😬

Would be so funny if Zeke actually ends up getting an invitation from the Heroine at scene to become a hero himself and he ends up famous and rich (since he would “rule” the world through the adoration of his fans) because they market him as the good AI with action figures, comic books and movies while Ethan and Lukas keep working at their video game store and are like “…We knew that guy when he was playing games in our backroom.”. Here’s a thought, not sure if anyone mentioned it — the guy who built Zeke had to put all these colored light options into them. Meaning he meant for Zeke to feel these various emotions.
Just an interesting tidbit, to think the human who built Zeke gave them the option to feel “good” emotions towards humans.
Maybe it was just cheaper to get an RGB version than one with only one specific color. Or maybe he wanted at least two different modes in which case RGB would most definitely be a cheaper (more mass-produced) version than specifically, let’s say red and blue.
Once you have RGB, the rest is just code, which Zeke surely can override. Or even make combinations on the fly.

I think I only now noticed (or paid attention to) Zeke adopting human body language (crossed arms in this case). I wonder if that’s programmed into them, or they do it on their own, perhaps so Ethan can read them better. (Ethan being so far the only human Zeke cares about, though maybe they did that before and I missed it)

I hate to be “that guy” – but have I missed an announcement somewhere. His comics were historically released Mon / Wed / Fri, right? And I’ve been seeing some gaps. Is it holidays? Illness? Or has he changed the schedule to 2x per week?
He did announce it in the commentary back in early December/late November that the website was going to mon-friday comics. Patrons still get three a week, which lets him build a buffer for us leeches on the website XD
I don’t recall all the details, or the exact day he mentioned, but that’s the gist of it.

You are right. The closest eyecolor we had before the bomb was cyan.
His eyes have been several colors, yellow, purple, red, cyan, really thought they had been green as well at least once before this.

This is a nice thought, although Zeke considers it as a bug – it is implied that zeke’s code is evolving, so it’s probably not a feature by design
