o_O indeed.

I find it funny that it’s the ultraviolent Players that are saying this. I’m not a gamer who enjoys any sort of realistic game violence. In all honesty, it’s something that I just have to endure through to get to the gameplay or story. There have been plenty of games which looked interesting, but I have completely skipped just due to violence alone. Despite this (or perhaps because of this) I don’t get what the big hubbub is about with this trailer. I’m hearing from many different locations that it was just too violent. I’m confused not because I think… Read more »

I guess there is two reason fors this: 1) It felt ok to see enemies or characters getting kill &/or hurt horribly because the killer & the victim are usually equal footing; You won’t bat an eye when Mortal Kombat’s characters kill each other horribly because you know given the chance the situations might reverse. Same with most other FPS or games that have killings. Here tough the 2 females are assumes victims that are helpless against their attackers & that is disturbing. Like how it is disturbing when Modern Warfare 2 ask you to shoot up a station of… Read more »

2. Most of the time the violence killing seems cartoonish despite the gore being realistic. Bioshock Infinite world had a 80’s action drama feel to it, Mortal Kombat is as cartoon as they come. Most modern Call of Duty felt like action AAA flick at best, GIJoe cartoon at worst. This tough felt like you actually standing there looking at this horror situation playing out. The violence felt as real as they come & that makes it disturbing. Like the 1st modern Lara Croft game, parts of the violence & deaths are disturbing because they felt real. Hell, I would… Read more »

LOL’d at work over this. This “Sillies” succeeds in being as silly as how out of place the trailer felt. Detroit: Become Human’s KARA storyline feels like it has more context for this kind of violence.

I think the reason there is a “hubbub” is because it’s Naughty Dog and without a fitting context of the story, it feels jarring to the suspension of disbelief. It is possible to be so extreme that people close the book, turn off the tv, or eject the game.

And then there are others that this won’t matter much to.

Question?

Remember the fight with him?

Thats still more intense, to me, than the trailer was.

Just saying.
