Reminder: If you live in Europe and want to own one of these three volume sets of the first ten years of Ctrl+Alt+Del, this is the last chance.

There is a button below to pre-order a CAD 1.0 Box set, delivered anywhere in Europe (except Russia, Israel and Turkey, more on that in a moment), for $120.

We have 34 7 book sets left, the last of these that I have to sell ever, and they are first-come first served. I will take orders for the next week, or until they are all ordered, whichever comes first. As soon as they are all ordered, I will direct the warehouse to arrange freight to the EU for distribution. This will take a while. They’ll most likely be traveling by boat, and I’ll have a better idea about travel time once they’re en route, but be aware that moving these books will take a while.

If you place an order, and we don’t end up with enough follow-through (ie, the books don’t get ordered), I will simply refund your pre-order at the end of the week. So if you want one of these, order soon to help make sure this happens.

And if you happen to live in Russia, Israel or Turkey, and you want one of these books, we CAN send one there for an additional $20 in shipping. Don’t ask me why it costs more to ship to those countries from Germany, it’s just what I was quoted by the company that will be handling the fulfillment. You can email me to arrange an order (tim at cad-comic.com).

So anyway… here’s that order button. Let’s get these books some new homes.

Elijah needs to realize that EVERY form of media (books, movies, art, etc,) has been used as an excuse to kill people.

Awesome story. I’m super excited.

If only Ethan’s sister and Elijah’s brother were both named Martha, this would be so easy.

As long as we don’t this “MARTHA!” shit, I am good. That scene totally beats Ethan’s My Sister’s dead! in amounts of awkwardness. It was sooooooo stupid~

Elijah…approximately 3,536 children drown in pools every single year. One in five are under 14! You’ve connected 9 deaths to video games…I think you’re fighting the wrong fight here.

Again, the statistics do not matter to the fear mongers. Add in This killer did not just own a game the news decided to blame. He reportedly screamed video game rules as he attacked. This really is someone who lost it with a video game bent. I seriously do not believe video games made him commit his crimes. But he picked them as his issue. Just like someone screaming they are Napolean and running off to ‘war’ with others is ill. But it does not sound like it will bring in viewers like blaming something people already have on the… Read more »

This story arc feels awkward because it’s a touchy subject (school shootings) with deceptively clear answers (people are responsible for their own decisions), but the characters beat around the bush and are so inept at the issue that it’s very uncomfortable to watch. Especially when I was almost in a shooting myself.

This is the best and most thoughtful comment. Uncomfortable and awkward is definitely the best way to describe this.

I disagree. Claiming clear answers to this problem is the opposite of thoughtful. It’s exactly Elijah’s approach – short-sighted.

Well said. I think you’re doing a good job. The characters are acting and talking how they would.

This is precisely what I mean. It is highly uncomfortable to watch an idiot and his friend fumble their way through several pages going in circles about a touchy subject involving violence and children getting murdered. It’s one reason I disliked the Orville, a comedy show that occasionally broke its routine to have its idiot characters talk about serious issues involving gender identities and corrective surgery on infants. “Clear answer” is perhaps not the best choice of words on my part. Maybe “well traveled.” Ample amounts of research has gone into this subject and a significant majority of them point… Read more »

It’s realistic. Shortsighted people who have no idea what they’re talking about trying to force others to adopt their own shortsightedness.

Its Reddit.

So Elijah’s powers didn’t save his brother not because they weren’t there, but because he didn’t know about the event in time.

Popular reasons I’m quite happy in Europe.

Well done on making Elijah such a strong character in such a short time.

No comment on video games / guns.

Not an American.

We have rainy weather.

Still have no idea what Ethan 2.00 sister was like.

Flashback?

Tim,
I know the shipping is probably outrageous but what is the cost to get one of these sets shipped back to the U.S. I commented last week as one of the ones who’s order was refunded. If it’s not feasible I totally understand.

Elijah seems to have a remarkably poor sense of irony in protesting video games while wearing a mask that’s clearly modeled after Genji from Overwatch.

He’s more in need of healing (of a sort) than Genji ever was.
