As a heads up, I remember back when you put ads on this site that you had a dislike of the video ones that autoplay? Yeeeeah… for the last two weeks or so everytime I come on this site I get a little tv in the right hand site of the site with an autoplay ad. Don’t know if your policy on that has changed at all, but thought I’d mention it!
Do you get more money if we click on the links? or only if we actually buy something via the links? I patronize and whitelist your site, but i’d be happy to click a few links a day as well, if it’ll help your bottom line.
in that case im ok with autoplay video ads as long as they dont cover the screen or start making sounds as video ads normally do pay more then non video ads if i understood right
I mean, I don’t see a ‘stay away’ on this one. And hey, that’s a pretty cool logo there, it’d get me curious about what was going on in that store lol.

Ugh. Is there any chance we could get Next/Previous buttons that don’t limit it to a sub-webcomic. I usually get here from Facebook, but not every day, so I’d like to see the previous day’s comic, without having to bounce thru the archive to do it.
Hey, Tim. Will you do a short comic to make fun of the fact that the Meme Bowsette made Nintendo’s stock jump higher than the last time they released Nintendo Direct? ^^
I have heard that this is how the buttons above/below are supposed to work on other posts, but they do not actually work that way. I see three potential buttons for scrolling back: large arrows the left/right of the comic, and green buttons with a small arrow and the text “previous” in them above/below the comic. All 3 only scroll within a series (I’m /sure/ I’ve seen CAD comics between now and May that were not Analog & D-Pad, but scrolling back through I can’t find ’em). Even the “random” button above/below only picks from Analog & D-Pad comics. If… Read more »
For S&G I tried it on Chrome and IE: Chrome also is locked to Analog & D-Pad, but IE did indeed work the way people say (by Sept 17 I get a Console War comic, then a CAD on Sept 14). But in IE, I hit refresh and went back through a second time, and was again locked to Analog & D-pad. Cleared my cache in IE, went to the homepage, and it worked. Went back a few, went forward again, and then again got locked back to Analog & D-Pad. I don’t know what is causing this, but enough… Read more »
You’re not combining the two methods, right? The top buttons only navigate ALL archives as long as you’re on the front page of the site. Once you’re inside an archive (ie, you can see the comic name in your URL bar) all the buttons work the same to move forward and back within that archive.
Either way, the navigation will be something we revisit in the near future, but for now I want to know if there is in fact an error.
I didn’t think I was mixing methods in testing last night, but being careful about it now and it does work and doesn’t break along the way, so hey, maybe PBKAC. 😉
Ah, that explains a lot. I come here from your Facebook post, which, of course, is the URL with the comic name. I’ll have to snitch to coming from a bookmark of the main page…

Hey hey hey the graffiti is all perfectly centered on the window pane – my OCD heart be still 🙂
If Analog and D-Pad end up busting a tagger who is using chalk lines to determine the center and dimensions of his graffiti, I’ll know it was the comment section’s fault. 😀

Huh. Well, I guess this rules out Emily taking on her boyfriend’s competition for some reason. Still, the art is pretty good, and hey! There’s no warnings to stay away on this one! That’s a good sign, right?

I would paint “Coming Soon to PC/PS4/XBOX ONE” under it.

I think he still tries to avoid the autoplay video ones. There’s a box right there to ‘report bad ad’ https://cad-comic.com/report-ad/

You don’t even have to click. Just viewing them is enough 🙂

I’m not getting the the video ads anymore, but I never minded them as long as there was no sound
Oh boy, here comes the debate as to why at one store it crossed metal, and here it’s just on glass ..
Two different stores ^_^
This is on theirs, the last one on the enemies. So different windows.
Unless you mean about how others won’t notice that and will instead insist that it is an art error when it’s not.
In which case…cool we both noticed something some might react without noticing about.
Two cups of whipped cream. Tastes delicious. Miiiight have cost 10 bucks each though.
Someone hates video games with a passion.

If you use the navigation bar above/below the comic you’ll get to navigate between all comics in chronological order.
The buttons on the left/right side are the only thing that locks into a single comic series. (Think of them like page flips in a comic book)
Sounds like you just want the ones in the above/below nav bar
Jerry is correct. However, it’s on my list of things to do to make this functionality clearer.

I just tried that, though, and it still seemed to limit me to just Analog and D-Pad.
