Plus the foot might decide to share the trap herpes with the rest of his body as well.
It’s funny, if Player 1 was trying to make a Batman like character then perception being fairly high is a must. Batman definitely wouldn’t have fallen for that.
Yeah, but there was no mention of perception modifiers either so it wouldn’t surprise me if he went with the dark knight class and didn’t bother getting anything to increase his perception either.
And in 5th ed. DnD, a natural one on anything other than an attack is bad, but not an automatic failure. This supposes that they are using DnD 5th, though.
One of my first games in Pathfinder Society had a party member named Batman. The player insisted he was Bruce Wayne who had been sent back in time to the world of Golarion and eschewed all his gadgets and training to start anew.
Even he was smart enough to choose a class and race that could see in the dark and spot traps (aasimar ninja).

Off to a good start, I see. Rolled a 1 on first skill check and walked straight into a trap. xD

Spectacular. I love when a player’s boring comic book clone tries to adventure without their plot armor. “B..bb..but Batman tho!”

As expected, suboptimal.
Is he going to try to be stealthy with his well-armoured melee dude as well? Or to fight enemies by throwing small creature-shaped objects at them? Or to swing across the dungeon using a grappling hook?
welp, the dork knight was short lived, time to bring the barbarian back
He only lost a foot, he can walk it off.
trap herpes makes me think that foot is about to go on an adventure of its own
Plus the foot might decide to share the trap herpes with the rest of his body as well.

Let’s be fair, he did roll a natural 1.

If hes playing a vigilante then its likely pathfinder 2nd
Tim confirmed that they are running a homebrew pathfinder
Should’ve picked one of the many dark-vision races. :p
Speaking of races is everyone a human outside of #3’s elf? Sorry never thought about it until now.
Oops I mean #4.

At least he survived his first round. Not all characters do.
Its only a round if youre in combat 🙂

Whatever could possibly go wrong, I wonder?
*evil chuckle*
Seriously I’d judge a batarang as -4 Shruiken.
“Tell Me, Do You Bleed?”
“Because I will holy shit it hurts so bad”
“Seriously, you appear to be some sort of Gelatinous Cube and I’ve got 0 ranks in dungeoneering, I’ve got no idea if you bleed or not”
