Not sure that works super well for what are effectively “independent contractors”. They could always walk away from the offer if it’s insulting like that.
Oh, I agree on principle. I just know that putting the screws to the PC’s too much right off the back in this kind of scenario isn’t a great idea.

Something I really enjoy about Shadowrun’s dice pool system is that it’s possible to succeed and glitch at the same time. For instance, if the Mr Johnson here had only rolled only 1 hit instead of 3, then Player 1 would’ve beat him with his 2 hits, but he still would’ve glitched with all those ones, so they get what they want, but then maybe P1 bites his tongue real bad and can’t speak clearly for the rest of the scene or the Mr Johnson say “that’s a reasonable request, but you seem like a d**k” so P1 gets a… Read more »

#4 sounds like one of my players. Once the team had to tell her that during the fight her prized motorcycle was destroyed, but knowing how much cyber she had decided to bribe a kid to tell her for them. She just straight up murdered the kid. Just instinctively said, “I kill him!” as an immediate response to the news. You got to wonder sometimes if they’re just getting into character, or if the character is letting their real personality out…

I didn’t pick up the double meaning about “ones are the worst” until my second reading. I was so focused on dice rolls that I missed that player Two was also referring to player One as The Worst.
