No, I didn’t die because I was admiring the scenery, you did!
It really is an attractive game, though. Look at those birds! Those leaves!
I enjoyed the small slice of beta quite a bit. I do have some thoughts regarding all that loot box garbage that I will likely explore in a future comic, though.
I feel sort of like the maps are still very defender balanced, but probably because the Beta doesnt contain all the weapons/etc the full game will. Out of the 20 or so games of both maps i played, the only time the attackers won was when there was a hacker. That being said, as the beta went on, the attackers typically got further and further each time before losing.
I think it’s natural for defenders to have an initial advantage on attack/defend game modes. Getting things perfectly balanced 50/50 is improbable, and if it’s going to skew one way or another, it should be towards defense.
I did win most of my games on defense, but I saw some offense wins as well. Especially, like you mentioned, as the beta went on and people acclimated to the maps/mechanics and figured out what they were supposed to be doing.
I’ve been saving all the pages thus far. This is the 1,000th One Shot I’ve saved!
The leaves! and the smoke! It really builds nicely on the first game.

On the other hand, when it is winter and there are no leaves, the skill of players will drastically increase 😉

Not saying that’s its better it sucks
I don’t care how pretty it looks, it will never be better than the real Battlefront 2.
Sad thing is that I was going to get this game but the loot boxes with their Pay-2-win crap turned me off from getting it. So until they get rid of that or make the loot boxes just give cosmetic crap, then I’m not going to touch this game with a 10 foot pole no matter how good the gameplay and graphics are.
So how did it worked out?
