This reminds me of an article I read regarding talking AIs Apps that act as a friend or as a psychologist and that more and more people use that as a convenient way to have someone to talk to about their problems. Makes me wonder if one day there are Android psychologist partners who will be used for griefing people or people who might be suicidal to be with them 24/7 until they overcome their trauma.

Dr. K did a stream with 2 other psychologists https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eahvaGzzPTw The short version is that as of now, the AI is problematic because it doesn’t asks more questions, it doesn’t look for the subtext (which is a big part of psychology), and more importantly, it doesn’t challenge the person. Which is absolutely terrible if you have a narcissist patient who thinks everyone else is an asshole to them. It tends to offer empathy, but also a lot of validation to anyone asking questions.
