Whelp, it’s that time again. The Starcaster Chronicles Issue #9 will update daily Monday through Friday until its finished so that I can take some time off to recharge, and take care of some things around the house before winter sets in.

Well %&#! – you beat me to it. Never quite got into these. I’ll be back when Tim is stealing all his kid’s Halloween candy.
You know, ages ago, when Tim was testing the format with the “space archaeologist” strip, I kind of felt the same way. Everything just felt like a slow crawl. Then I fell off of webcomics as a whole for a while. When I joined back up, I had like four or five full issues of backlog to work through.
And that initial fast pace immediately helped me fall in love with the series and the characters, so when I got to the end I was practically begging for more and hang on every page.
I want a Speck plushie.
As soon as the prototype is ready for show off, I’ll gauge interest in a run.

I will admit I do prefer the Ethan based stuff more but it has been a while so its always good to get a variety. Would also be good to see how it progresses after the last.
My only complaint is that it feels like we were in the middle of something with the Ethan/Lucas storyline. I was thinking there would be more of a payoff after Lilah faced the tentacles and everything, but it seems like just fluff. Was hoping for some development between Ethan and Lilah, if that’s even planned.
Not complaining so much as I’m just a little surprised.

Can I just say, that I think this as well as Analog and D-pad, as a full issue release, is properly some of the smartest decision you have ever made. Having them in the bank, to get some weeks off, and still get traffic, is indeed smart.

Well, they seem to have a Starcaster, so that limits the suspects quite a bit. I’d assume it’s the less angry Dranglaex leader. The legionnaire-style armor would make sense for him given their previous Roman-y aesthetic.
