Wait, isn’t the end of the Mimion’s alimentary … Never mind, right – “pocket sludge”…

so, anyone else find beard guy’s response a bit odd? it might be he’s just slow, but he just looks mildly worried, like ‘aw man, those were my favorite pants’ worried, rather than an ‘oh no, i have acid that can burn straight through me on me” look.

Hasn’t hit him yet.

With what hit him being so small, maybe his pain tolerance is just through the roof and he knows it’ll only eat through his fat and warrant bandages. When it came time for my dad to get all four femur-tips replaced, the doctors were shocked that he let them waste away as much as they did; I guess he’s just gotten used to it from all the arthritis.

Green-boy on the other hand will be lucky to be a cripple from now on, probably sterile too.

Minor question, but when did he take one glove off? He had both on in the pages before. The first panel looks like he doesn’t have any on (likely do to size/difficulty coloring), but the middle one shows one gloved, one ungloved hand.

Could be a error or could have happen off panel. Just thought I’d point it out.

the ungloved hand in the middle panel could just be a coloring error, considering the angle of the “camera” has the face partially covering the hand. so consider it a coloring error, or if you wanna be immersive, assume the glove he is wearing on that hand happens to be just reflecting the color of his fur.

or colour-correct your screen, because for me, that hand looks perfectly gloved with a grey/metallic glove without further texture due to the zoom level… it’s definitely not purple-ish like his skin. 😉

As proof, the coloring error has been fixed.

Is anyone else starting to feel bad for this green alien race? Every time a member of their species appears in the story, they meet with unpleasant fates. Chaug gets murdered, Ulogg potentially court-martialed, Severic’s unnamed assistant gets bombed, and now this guy gets mimion melted…

For anyone curious, the general discussion on Patreon fell to this reasoning: Can’t negotiate a price. We’re broke. We’ve been broke the WHOLE series. We don’t have the cash to buy silence AND repair the ship. Threatening them may buy him some time to get off this station *if* Speck’s threat actually succeeds, but the thugs will surely sell the info to make some cash, and likely bring down the Syndicate or Dranglaex to this sector. If they can fake being “on the up”, maybe they would contact the feds, but that’s not likely to be a big payout, if… Read more »

Yeah, the tired old “dead men tell no tales” thing.

Too bad so many people were unwilling to remember that their corpses do.

Only if there is a corpse to find. Pair that with having access to one of the galaxies best super acids and that’s just a reason to be particularly thorough.

Also Corpses can’t make calls. Even presuming that the corpses are found and the station is on the up and up, investigations take time and all the investigation will show is that 3 ( 2 if the third is fast enough) got on the wrong side of a Mimion with no idea where the Mimion jetted off to. Sure, they can make the guess of “within X distance” and “It’s the Mimion we’re looking for” but that’s still a lot of ground to cover. The real danger is if the third gets away and sounds the alarm. If that happens,… Read more »

Well I’ll eat crow, I guessed the voters would have just done a big threat and moved on. Bravo to them, I think the time for some violence is apt.

I like how the audience was like “No, buying their silence obviously wont work.”

Negotiating while they’re on acid. Well acid on them, but minor semantics.
