I heard a rumor, that Patreon supporters can read the entire strip early. Us freeloaders have to wait patiently.

No. We have to wait.
Nothing says we have to be patient. I can bounce in my seat all weekend if I want to.

Essentially patreon supporters get it as Tim finishes it, we get it whenever Tim needs a break.

From my understanding, the entire issue has been available for months on the patreon

Don’t know if it’s important or if you’d want to update it, but the Patreon landing page says you are on issue 7. “classic Choose Your Own Adventure books! We’re currently on issue #7,

Oh no. When Quel was pushing Cort and he got angry and the starcaster started “reacting”

The other federation starcaster user is back….

Back in page 9, the Lance Major said the Dranglax fleet was not where they sensed it would be, so they would search the surrounding systems… maybe they were sensing Cort’s earlier tests, not the Dranglax? Which definitely lends weight to them sensing Cort’s reaction there, yes.

So…the intolerant assh@#€ will be the Major Lance, isn’t she?
Does Her hate towards the Drax will make her not very receptive?

How is she an intolerant asshole? I’ve only seen her act with empathy. The Dranglax genocided her people!

For that reason I’m asking it. But for now she have just taken away Cort instead of landing and talking with them, so…
And yes, she has her reasons to don’t trust another guy she doesn’t know and wear a starcaster, but she know (or should know) that Cort is traveling with Nhy’ra, and if she is trusting her there should be something to talk about.

Actually I don’t think cort got grabbed, it looked like he activated his own flying/superspeed

Thought i guess if he was grabbed around the waist it would just barely be conveniently hidden by the strip.

I see where you’re coming from, but I very much doubt that Cort already has the level of control over the Starcaster required to move at such speeds. So far, by his own admission, “laser on” and “laser off” is all he’s good for.

I wasn’t trying to imply he activated it willingly, more as a reaction to try and get away as fast as possible. His laser was simply a reaction to danger before as well.

It looks like he turned to start running, but then was grabbed/pushed in the back.

Okay, so guessing the Major will try to subdue Cort, Nyrah will try to attack her with the rifle out of desperation, Lance will try to take Nyrah out, and Cort will go nuclear.

Maybe Quel will try to intervene. We shall see.

This happened way too quickly for anybody to react. I don’t think Nyrah can even get a clear shot, but all in all, the secret is up. And Quel likely just got into trouble.

I don’t think just randomly shooting the person with a pistol would work anyway, otherwise starcasters wouldn’t be such an overpowered weapon.

Ooh, I hadn’t considered Quel having to explain this. Interesting. I look forward to more intra-Fed politics.

Personally I think he’s got a good reason. Having the current starcaster wielder come in willingly, giving them time and the option to make that decision, is a good one. What are his other options? There’s hardly another way to get him to go along peacefully. And peacefully is important, as there is no telling what damage the starcaster can do. Even with subduing Cort by the other starcaster you have a problem. He’s less likely to assist and killing him will present other difficult choices. Who else will you put the starcaster on? They probably groomed some people for… Read more »

She’s literally flying by and snatching Cort up superman style. Probably dragging him into space for interrogation/incapacitation and then to a Dreadstorm. She’s gonna show us how a real user bends this thing to their will.

It could be snatching him up. It could also be trying to drive him into a nearby hillside.

I feel like just instantly dragging him into space would be too easy and not as narratively interesting.

Ah I guess Lance is using the ancient tactic of “fly in quick, body tackle your enemy using the power of the universe and your starcaster now, ask questions later”. We’ve all been there, I’m sure.

Quel will likely calm this down after a fight but not gonna be a lot of running or coming in quietly from the Federation now.. just hope -this- isn’t the cliff hanger until next time..

Yeah I expected this, she’s going to make things ten times shittier for everyone by pissing Cort off. I feel bad for pilot girl, she just started feeling something for someone after what happened, and now she’s going to lose another :/

Hmmm… We never actually see the Starcaster that grabs Cort. Imagine if the Starcaster is the Dranglaex presence that the fleet was chasing, and not the Federation one that we’ve been shown…

From how Cort is running it is unlikely (though possible) that it is his leg. The detail isn’t enough to distinguish between the pants/shoe combo of him and Lance Major starcaster. The legs of the Dranglaex are differently coloured and often have strange colourful boots. Besides that, the Dranglaex starcaster wiuld be stupid to strike now. Two enemy starcasters, of which one is flaunting her power with a battle group behind her. Besides that, she was scouting around and must have picked up on Cort when he activated his starcaster. My money is on the simple explanation. This is Lance… Read more »
