Well, once you’re in the starcaster page, the navigation buttons left and right of the comic go only to starcaster content, so you can always go a few pages back to refresh.
Yeah I’ve often thought this too haha. I know we can click back and refresh ourselves, but a neat little paragraph that tells us where the heroes are, who just died, and who’s chasing the heroes would be great.
I also understand it would be a bit more on Tim’s plate when he wants time off haha, so I’ll live without.

Atleast it cost him alot, hope that will take some time to heal.
Looks like it was a short chat after she said she tracked the starcaster and had Corts head in the burn zone.

If using the caster causes that guy that much damage, I would say they forced it to accept him. Cort has done as much damage without hurting himself at all. I do believe once he got it to work for him he blew off a mountain top.
Yeah. The people on that planet appeared to be in earthlike gravity since they were humans and behaving normally for humans. That means that planet is within a pretty small range of sizes that are all ‘pretty close to earth-sized’. That blast is as big as Europe or more, so the entire alps could be within that area, and more. And if I’m not mistaken, this is supposed to destroy the planet altogether. The reaction clearly has some delay, but if planetary destruction also means ‘the planet not being there anymore’, it means having to overcome the gravitational binding energy… Read more »
Yes I do, and we don’t know how large that mountain was or anything else, my point is all the Cort has done so far has only made him tired. This guy drops what was equal to a large nuke from high orbit and it deep fired him. if he ever actually blew up a planet much less a sun, it would kill him. Instantly. If the Starcaster doesn’t choose you, and you use it, that’s what happens. I think that guy knows it, but is following orders. Why else did he hesitate? Who knows how many users died trying… Read more »

Honestly I forgot what happened last time. Been so long.
No, not blaming the author now.
Need to go back and read again 🙂

While the attack itself isn’t likely to split the planet in half, so it might still be there to a significant degree afterwards… It doesn’t matter. The devastation caused by all the side effects, is the real goal and what will likely render the planet mostly useless for civilised (or any) life. Extreme weather, off-the-scald earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are likely to become the new norm. Air will become toxic, clouds will block most of the sun for years… Remember: An asteroid impact that was much smaller than that blast, was enough to cause a mass extinction and reshape the… Read more »

One question now is if this actually went as Vectanix intended, or if he was trying to burn an even bigger hole in (through?) the planet but passed out before he could finish.

The planet dying has been a long time coming. Fluff.
Why isn’t anyone talking about the last panel? The Aphelion going into the federation hangar of a battle cruiser shows a lot has happened that we don’t know about.
Yeeeeep, that family is already gone to smithereens. 🙁
PS: wow, he is toast!
crispy inside and out
He’s only mostly dead.
Man, I could really do with a “previously, on Starcaster” page when new editions are released.

I didn’t know that! Good looking out.

I think you are underestimating how large a planet can be. That blast is likely millions of times larger than blowing a mountain top off.

That makes sense. Could explain why the previous cover page shows so much more destruction.
