I doubt Mimons need a sink and I dont know if Nyrah has enough organics left but she probably needs one…
I doubt Spek will get a chance to kit out their ship before the battle happens.
From what I seen, she’s a torso in a sack, in a robot body. After a VERY expensive transfer operation into a good body she’d almost feel normal again. But the need for transfusions and fluid exchange of her organs will still need outside help and the mental scars will have to be dealt with sooner or later.
One thing I’ve always been a bit fascinated with is the tendency for propaganda to become a little bit true as it gets passed on.
When a government touts moral principles like equal rights for citizens, a fair justice system, and so on, the citizens may eventually start expecting the government to actually embody those principles. And a lot of the youth grow up believing that their society (and by extension they themselves) are going to be some kind of champion for these principles. Sometimes, this can actually lead to the lie becoming reality.
Positive reinforcement. It’s what we do with children.

Poor Nyrah, hero’s are almost never what you have imagined them to be. No one or nothing is ever how great you pictured them to be, there’s always some dirt in the cracks or under the rug. Maybe when the federation was new(ish) it was what she thought it to be, but everything gets tarnished over the years. At least for now, they are getting out of that holding cell and are getting moved to something a bit more comfortable.

Now I guess the real question is, did he accept conscription, or opt for the Mercenary role?

Well, whatever Cort decided it’s at least going slightly better for these two…
Corty took the deal. For the first time in the series they’re going to get some racktime in a proper bed.
Just until a fleet of Drangaelex arrive kitted out in ship to ship combat. La’ni to the rescue…
Not all of them, I guess, unless there is an acid-proof bed.
Congratulations gang! Your shackles have been upgraded from rough casted iron to gilded!
Better than a quickly repurposed general storage bay
At least they’ll have a toilet, wash basin and sink in there

The shackles of abject poverty weren’t much better. At least now their ship can have proper maintenance
That’s one way to tell that the deal has been taken 😀
Your new quarters: Space Vent Point Beta-03 !
Plottwist !
Minor typo; it’s propaganda, not propoganda.
(Unless she has some odd space dialect where the word is different)
Tim, this page is in Ctrl+Alt+Del archives, not Starcaster Chronicles archives right now.
Fixed.

That a bit like fake it until you make it? If we all act like this is true, it will eventually be true? If so, can we get some of that IRL please?
