Just to be clear, I have nothing at all against people with right-wing views, and if you want a gun for self-protection I see no problem with that. But speaking from experience as a gamer, there are a lot of gamers out there with seriously unhealthy views towards race, religion, gender and sex, and telling those people that they’re wrong generally just reinforces their views.
