I understand the logic… But it’s scary to think of performing an action to “make sure you die from it”. It goes against how we’re programmed, which is for survival. That he casually says he tries to get his head down during a fall… it freaks me out ๐
I have to imagine it took some time to get into that kind of mindset, because agreed it goes against your very natural instincts. Then again…. Ethan.

And most importantly, without that pesky problem of asphyxiation, stylish capes are back as well.

Okay. This got me thinking.
What is the range of Ethan’s regeneration?
Say he was buried deep in a mineshaft with no means of escape and he starved/suffocated. Would he just keep popping back at the same location (assuming he could not regenerate into solid rock?
Alternatively, what if he were to die on the moon’s surface or in deep space? Would he pop back in without a spacesuit? Therefore, facing and endless cycle of Life then Death (rinse and repeat ad-finitum)?
Maybe this has been clarified/explained, but I do not recall reading anything on this topic.
That would be up to Tim to explain and if I was him, I wouldn’t bother with giving an explanation and just put Ethan in a situation where he does experience that.
It’s the point of an episode of Torchwood, if I remember correctly. The protagonist, immortal, is buried underground and spends years and years being resurrected and dying a few seconds later, for thousand and thousand of times until he is dug up (traumatized).

I mean he has a point, if he gets knocked out and paralyzed he is easy pickings for a bad guy to capture and torture.
Very true Zeke proved this with a glass box.
I guess at this point, Ethan’s biggest weakness would be some crippling injury where he cant kill himself nor tell anyone to kill/respawn him.
so ALS?

Sometimes with fiction you just gotta ignore the “but what if” and just enjoy it how it is ๐
