Actually, this makes Ethan’s behavior in this arc suddenly make more sense. A few people have been saying that even Ethan shouldn’t be this dense, that he should notice something’s up; but the thing is, even if he does, he dismisses it, because he thinks he’s being paranoid again, like he was with Emily. It’s not that he’s clueless, it’s that he’s trying to ignore any issues he might have.
Yeah we all carry baggage around that makes us blind to some things in ourselves and others. And when we try to compensate that’s just another layer of baggage.

Ethan! Listen to the man. It’s important to know how much lube you need to get pegged.

Ok, I know people have said it already, but I really like the depth and growth of Scott’s character compared to the V1 strips.

FYI:
Hey Tim, Waking up, p22 has a visible date of April 1, 2026.
I am guessing thats when the comic was published for those who contribute.
But for those who dont, it just looks like the website is showing wrong dates.
Not much I can/will do about that. As far as I’m concerned, the 3x a week schedule is still the “main” release schedule. The comics show the dates they were actually released. Free readers just get access to them later, now, and I think the UI makes that pretty understandable.
Roughly, he wasn’t home when she tried to call on him (when he was out superhero-ing and said he was at home). So she thought he was cheating.
He tried to come clean and admit he was a superhero, but Emily had a hangup about superheroes to start with and thought he was just making shit up to get her to back off.
He could’ve pushed the point but never did; I think the fact she disliked superheroes played into that a lot.

Best position for this one is 96 with an ever increasing amount of space between each number 9_______6
Damn, that not wanting to talk to the Support Network from shame and confusion is scary true.

If we had more of a balance of Nicole being good and bad this internal conflict would be more dramatic because you’d be able to understand Ethan’s worries AND review Nicole’s behavior in a more complex way but she just sucks completely so while neat Ethan is being more aware, Nicole is objectively bad so it doesn’t matter
just because its bad, does not mean it doesnt become a part of the furniture… ask… well.. any of those resturants that has the stuff on the walls.

In all seriousness, this is a side and aspect to ethan that has been deeply missing and literally decades in the waiting. So glad to see it.

Ok first off! I love this growth all around between the main three guys here over this arc of the comic. Sure I got my hang ups with every character main or secondary but I genuinely was SO happy Ethan went to Scott here for advice, he is arguably a neutral party of sorts and also his line at end shows Ethan and Scott to me while maybe never being the closest of buddies like Ethan is with Lucas does show they are comfortable enough to joke at each other. I must admit I was thinking Ethan might have gone… Read more »

There’s an April Fool’s joke in here somewhere.
Emily was his last girlfriend right? Why’d they break up?
