I know, it’s a “super hero thing”, that nobody would recognize them when wearing the costume even if you can see it with the hairstyle.
But isn’t wearing the crown that you are wearing the entire month a little counterproductive. How many people are wearing this type of crown.
I mean, Emily has a different style as well as Scott. Shown in january 2017.

I think Wintereenmas is a massive holiday in thier universe so it’s like how you don’t take note of who’s wearing Santa hats.

I agree with Taylor. It seems there is at least a large enough group of people that celebrate the holiday and since they are video game themed superheroes you would almost expect them to also celebrate.

It’s possible they’re still wearing a common style- since Scott is wearing a different one, at the very least it’s probably not tied to their store. It’s possible there are quite a few other people wearing them and just not in their little friend group.

Exactly. It’s like when Mass Effect 3 came out and everyone (gamer-wise) was wearing Mass Effect shirts for like six months after that. I didn’t even see faces back then, just the different types of shirts.

Since Scott’s was a WASD I’m thinking it may be related to gaming system of choice?

Must be fun having a friend you can brutally murder for a laugh and have them come back to life no problem.

I’m wondering how they know he has infinite respawns and isn’t going to eventually “run out of lives”

Eh, that’s not something they can really find out for certain outside of someone somehow having that exact knowledge as a plot device. I would imagine Lucas had concerns about limited lives in their early days too but then after seeing the 50th+ respawn they both just assume it’s infinite.

Wouldn’t this be the worst time to find out it was limited, though? 😉

If i remember correctly i think Tim commented once that the respawns wouldn’t be intikte.

What is the over/under on the last page of this series being both Ethan and Emily being chosen for the Crown bowl?

Holy shit, with that Dpad of Doom, he could cut his enemies in half en masse. No wonder we’ve never seen it before, they’d crucify him in the media if he started bisecting baddies.

I think Lucas just surprised Ethan with it since it’s probably something that isn’t that practical to use since it seems like needs time and concentration to pull off when it is more easily dodged by ducking or jumping.

I bet the last page of this series is both Ethan and Emily being drawn to compete in the Crown Bowl.

Okay, now I want to see the version where Ethan dodges it all matrix-y (i.e. bending backward), and hits his head so hard on the side rise he dies of brain damage

Or he does a jump and flips onto his side to go over it and ends up falling off the edge of the roof behind him.

I was predicting a jump onto the arrow, only to fail to make the jump back onto the roof.
