Hunt is a happy medium for me between the more casual games and Tarkov.
Losing / dying feels punishing, but not enough that i just never want to go out and play it, it never gets stressful like Tarkov can.
Tense? certainly, gets the heart pumping.

Hunt: Showdown is actually pretty fun. And finally we get a battle royale that isn’t just a PUBG/Fortnite clone. With actual objectives other than just murdering everyone.

I have this weird shit about games and getting attached to my player character no matter what because, in a way that’s me out there. a little investment of my finite time that I can never get back, but it has a Representative that move around and interact with a reality where I can do things that I can’t here to the point where the concept of permadeath scares the fuck out of me and not in a fun way. So I noped out. Looks awesome though.

I swear I’d me more interested in this one if I didn’t have to deal with the reality of the PvP part of the PvPvE
I’d be totally fine with character death and restart due to my own fuck-ups, I’m less cool with it due to the whims of random strangers on the Internet.
