Digital Overload Hotels, etc

February 7, 2006 by Tim

I know a lot of people have been running into issues getting a hotel room for Digital Overload because you have to be 21 years old to rent a room at our official hotels. People have been arranging room-shares, but other people have been stuck without a place to stay.

I have some good news. We’ve spoken to the Holiday Inn and they are willing to make an exception in their policy for our event. For Digital Overload they will rent hotel rooms to people 18 and over with a valid ID. Here is the updated hotel information for the Holiday Inn:

Holiday Inn Downtown (website)

$119/night (single, double, triple or quad)
• The Holiday Inn is located 1 block from the Rhode Island Convention
Center, so you don’t have to worry about a car all weekend.
• Parking is an additional $12 per 24 hour period, but that means that
you don’t have to pay for parking at the convention center.
• If you are 18-20 years old, and
would like to book a room at the Holiday Inn, please call (401) 831-3900 and
ask for Angel.

Digital Overload is now only a little more than a month away. There are still some tickets available, but they’re going fast.

Digital Overload will have LAN gaming (you can bring your own computer, or rent one) as well as table-top gaming and consoles. It’s shaping up to be a really fun weekend, so check out the website for more info!
