What about a CAD get together?

Well, there are some people organizing one for down south, in the Florida area. You can check out the info in this thread in the forum. Unfortunately I can’t attend, so I can’t make it official, and I accept no responsibility, blah blah blah.

But I have been thinking about the possibility of having a similar gathering around here where I now live, the Virginia, Washington DC, Baltimore area. I was considering just a day of hanging out… catch a movie, hit an arcade, etc.

I would need help with this though. For instance, I’d need someone to point me in the direction of a really great arcade or LAN center in the area. I would also need anyone who was interested to email me so I know about how many people would want to show up to something like this.

I do as many conventions as I can, but they often seem so impersonal. I can talk to one or two people, but there are always more waiting in line behind them, so the whole thing seems rushed. I don’t really get to hang out with CAD fans as I’d like to. So let me know what you think. If I get enough suggestions and enough interest, I may attempt to oranize one.

So, I’m about to start the fourth and final disk of FireFly. The show has been very entertaining so far, and I’m starting to join the crowd with the “why the fuck did they cancel this?” feeling. It’s unfortunate, to say the least.

Oh well. Any time they want to release season three of 24 will be just dandy.
