The google ads at the bottom of the page display advertisements relevant to what is being talking about in the newsposts. They are random, and not hand chosen.

When I mentioned I was sick, it displayed ads for medicine. When I talk about World of Warcraft, it displays ads to buy in-game gold and items.

This is not a practice that I endorse. We block the ads as we see them, but there are a lot of them.

But they are not something we support.
