Happy Winter-een-mas, everyone! I hope you’ve all got some big plans for this week. Perhaps you’ve set aside some time to play a new game, or dig up an old favorite to re-experience Maybe you’re having some friends over for some multiplayer, or you’ve scheduled something with your online guild. Whatever your plans, I wish you lots of fun and free time to enjoy yourself this Winter-een-mas!

There are a lot of cool things in store for the holiday this year, some intentional, some unintentional but nonetheless beneficial!

Dead Space 2 launches today, which I’m really excited about and will definitely be making one of my titles to play during WEMas 2011. The first few days of the holiday, however, I’ll be spending with the RIFT beta 5 event, which also kicks off today!

If you’re not quite sure what you want to play for this year’s holiday? Ubisoft is celebrating Winter-een-mas with 30% off their digital PC titles! Now’s your chance to grab some of Ubisoft’s greatest games like Assassin’s Creed 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction for a nice discount! What better way to spend Winter-een-mas?!

Also, a little while back I was given the opportunity to co-author an in-game special event for Adventure Quest Worlds, a very popular browser-based MMO. With Winter-een-mas coming up, we thought it would be cool to tie in to the holiday, and so now this Friday players in the game can team up with Ethan, Lucas, Lilah and Zeke to hunt down who stole the Winter-een-mas Crown in a very special live quest event! AQW players will be able to earn all sorts of cool, unique armor and inventory items based on the CAD characters by participating in this event!

It’s shaping up to be a great Winter-een-mas this year! Let the gaming begin!
